wine users - Jul 2007 - graphic horizontal scrolling app is SLOW on wine

I just grabbed 0.9.40 and compiled on AMD 64.
I do have opengl working based on the config.log
So I presume that means directX is working also.

When I run my app that opens a window and scrolls text
horizonatally it scrolls really slow. like moving one pixel a second.

Do I still not have something quite right?
I am hoping to speed up the scrolling.
