I am trying to install a Windows program and it claim for install MDAC 2.8 sp1, but an error occur and the program stop. How do I get arround this? The easiest way to do this is (sadly) to open a terminal window and give the commands wget http://kegel.com/wine/winetricks sh winetricks fakeie6 mdac28 You might need to run winetricks a second time if mdac installation fails the first time (that's bug 5824 in wine), Let us know if that works for you. Also let us know what version of wine you're using. winetricks assumes a recent wine (0.9.30 or higher, more or less, I think). - Dan
