wine users - Mar 2007 - Just installed WINE on Ubuntu 6.06.. not working(errors)...

I have installed WINE with apt-get wine command. But, when I run any
windows software, I get this error :

err:advpack:create_tmp_ini_file Unable to create temp ini file
err:advpack:create_tmp_ini_file Unable to create temp ini file Failed

successfully. wine: could not load

What do I do ???

1. Don't run wine as root.
2. Delete any occurences of /root/.wine* and /home/*/.wine*
3. Run 'winecfg'
4. Post error messages if they appear^1
5. Read the Wine User Guide, especially chapter 4
