Hi, I have an application that want to install the DotNet FrameWork. the Setup of the FrameWork starts, but then fails with the message, Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher would be required. How can I get over this message without really installing an Internet Explorer? As far as I know, for all Applications that require IE, the renderengine khtml is used instead. Could it be hacked in that An installation programm trying to find IE also get's a reply that IE is there? Dominique -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Are there any plans to do so - it would be a beautiful thing if visual studio .net worked on wine. p Fri, 2006-09-15 at 08:34, John Drescher wrote:> > ---------- Forwarded message ---------- > From: John Drescher <drescherjm@gmail.com> > Date: Sep 15, 2006 11:34 AM > Subject: Re: [Wine] DotNet applications > To: Dominique Leuenberger <Dominique.Leuenberger@tmf-group.com> > > I am not sure about the IE problem but I believe .net does not work at > all on wine. > > John > > > > -- > John M. And the errors are less then helping in that case (firs windows.forms was missing, but that could be fixed). That's why I tried with Wine after that. Which looked promising, except the .Net Framework installer does not find an Internet Explorer. Maybe if that one could be tricked, it would already work. Are there any informations I can deliver to help? Dominique -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
