[Wine] Sounds problems (via ac97) / Mouse pointer problems
Hello, I am using Wine 0.9 under Linux Slackware 10.2 (official binary package) with kernel 2.6.14. I have a GeForce 2 Ti (using NVidia's 3d accelerated driver) and a VIA AC97 as a sound card (using kernel alsa drivers). I have tried several games : none would start until I switch sound acceleration from "Full" to "Emulation" (as suggested by wine's text output). But "Baldur's Gate II : Throne of Bhaal" crashes when starting a new game or loading an existing game... until I set sound driver to "None". Then the game would run normally (but of course without sound, and also it is very slow). Why do I have to set "Emulation" for sound, and I have to disable it completly for Baldur's Gate II ? What can I do ? Also, with Baldur's Gate (which runs very well) and Baldur's Gate II, I have two mouse pointers : the game pointer and the normal black arrow X11 cursor (at the same place, of course). What can I do to hide the X11 mouse pointer ? Thanks in advance.
