I'm trying to run OrCAD, an electronic CAD for windows without result. Here is the command line and the "answer": $ wine /mnt/win_c/Program\ Files/Orcad/Capture/capture.exe err:module:load_builtin_dll loaded .so for L"W32SYS.DLL" but got L"w32skrnl.dll" instead - probably 16-bit dll fixme:ole:CoRegisterMessageFilter stub wine: Unhandled exception (thread 0009), starting debugger... fixme:console:SetConsoleCtrlHandler (0x406105b0,1) - no error checking or testing yet WineDbg starting on pid 0x8 fixme:dbghelp:SymLoadModule should no longer happen fixme:dbghelp:SymLoadModule should no longer happen Unhandled exception: page fault on read access to 0x00000000 in 32-bit code (0x5f40e98a). In 32 bit mode. 0x5f40e98a: movl 0x0(%ecx),%edx Wine-dbg>quit WineDbg terminated on pid 0x8 I use a dual boot on Presario 700 notepad, with Mandrakelinux 10.0. I download the file wine-20040813-mdk.i586.rpm from official site and installed WinE. I'm an electronic teacher, trying to switch my school from windows to Linux but I don't find good electronic CAD working on Linux and Windows. For this I would keep working on OrCAD. Any hint?

I have used Eagle several times and it is very good program (in windows, the GUI of program is more nice than Linux :s). I have been able to make many small designs with it. In Linux there are some apps for electronics, gEDA is a good tools and PCB too. You can read the follow article http://www-mtl.mit.edu/~mcmahill/PCB/gEDA-PCB.html. But if you want OrCAD, please debug the program and post the output from debugger, may be we can help you. Regards Joaqu?n
