wine users - Aug 2003 - How to use fonts in .fon file with wine and setting date format

dear friends,

How can I use fonts in .fon file while running 
application with wine. The application running 
under windows looks better than application
running with wine under Linux since wine
has used the alternative fonts.

The default date format setting under wine is
M/d/yyyy I want to have dd/MM/yyyy
where do I set ? in general where do I set
"regional setting" ?
