fixme:reg:_nt_dump_lf unknown Win XP node id 0x686c: do we need to add support for it ?
Hi. I'm having troubles with WINE. I think it might be (strangely :P) because of my windows XP instalation. Though, since I'm a bloody newbie, I don't know what it could be. here I post my configuration file (that is correct as soon as I can tell) and my error message (at the end of the page) I apologize for the lenght of this e-mail but I thought it would be wise to post the WHOLE config file because. I hope this is the right list and i hope somebody can help me... I'm tired of restarting every time i need a windows application... I'm hoping wine will work fine on my PC given my hardware as well as the type of app I'm planning to run.... DiabloII, winmx, kazaa, visual studio, windows media player, etc. I've read the man as well as the user guide and there is no mention of this error on neither of them.... any ideas??? thanks a lot. If you have read the man & user guide, you should have seen that you must give the name of the executable you want to run. (the usage says this too) If you refer to the user guide read section 6 to know how to report a problem, thanks. http://www.winehq.com/docs/wine-user/bugs.shtml> DiabloII, > winmx, kazaa, visual studio, windows media player, etc. I've read the > man as well as the user guide and there is no mention of this error > on > neither of them.... any ideas??? > > thanks a lot.Usage: wine [options] [--] program_name [arguments] The -- has to be used if you specify arguments (of the program) Options: --debugmsg name Turn debugging-messages on or off --dll name Enable or disable built-in DLLs --help,-h Show this help message --version,-v Display the Wine version ====Sylvain Petreolle spetreolle@users.sourceforge.net Fight Spam ! You run the risk of corrupting it. Much better to create a directory on your Linux filesystem, and let Wine use that for drive C. This requires that you reinstall the apps you want to use under Wine. I suspect the problems you are having will go away then.
