wine users - Dec 2002 - Ocean.exe -- Cannot get any text copied into the X clipboard.

Here is a link to the application.  It is a document text search
application.  It has a function that copies a document selection
with a source citation into the clipboard.  However, I can never
get the copied citation and quote to paste into a X program
running in RH Linux 8.0.

Any ideas?  Does the program author need to use different APIs
in order to get cutting and pasting working with Wine?
