Hi, I am using Microsoft Word Viewer to view documents via wine. CUPS is installed and working perfectly. But when I try to print via Word Viewer, it says no printer found :(. I checked the config file in wine, and its shows that CUPS is present. Kindly let me know how to get it working :) -Regards Anurag __________________________________________________________ Give your Company an email address like ravi @ ravi-exports.com. You have 2 solutions, a) Go to http://www.openoffice.org and download Openoffice 1.0.1, it will allow you to open any ofice97/2000/xp document and print it, as I presume printing works for Linux apps b)Download wine source, install the cups-devel libs, and install wine from source, when it finds the cups-devel files, it compiles with printing support; this has been reported to not work at times.> Hi, > I am using Microsoft Word Viewer to view documents via wine. First try Openoffice 1.0.1, it will probably solve the problem. Wine dosen't install with printing support if it dosen't find cups-devel files, you can find the rpms on your system cds, or on rpmfind.net; if your system dosen't support rpms you can use the KDE rpm tools.> Hi, > Thanx for the prompt reply. I find many Windows apps can't find network printers from my NT machine - not having tried printing from WINE I don't no how it treats printers, but it wouldn't surprise me if they're not considered local to the app.
