First check if the config is exactly the same : the
config file is not all, the *.reg files in the .wine directory are
often more important. Then there is the way you installed
the software : the configuration files directory of your
software. Check for all these differences.
Different system configurations can lead to different results
for Wine. It could be some trivial problem like you have a
different firewall configuration :-) or something nasty like
a library installed or not.
If after all these checks the problem is not solved, the last
resort is the trace : run exactly the same way your app
with a +relay trace enabled (maybe a +winsock : I don't
know if your 'replication' involves a network activity) on
the 2 configurations and compare the traces.
The differences will be difficult to understand if you have
no programming experience. Maybe someone on the
group could help then to read the trace files.
