wine users - Feb 2001 - Can't get RedAlert working

I've been trying to get RedAlert working under wine for about a month now.

I start wine from an xterm with:
$ wine /WIN95/westwood/redalert/ra95.exe 2>&1 | tee wine.out ;

and get the following in wine.out:

fixme:ddeml:DdeConnect (0x1,49161,49163,(nil)): stub
fixme:ddeml:DdeNameService (1,49161,0,1): stub
fixme:dsound:IDirectSoundImpl_SetCooperativeLevel
(0x403ce3e4,00000138,2):stub
fixme:ddraw:Main_DirectDraw_SetCooperativeLevel
(0x403f6c84)->(00000138,00000011)

I never hear and sound and the screen turns black and stays that way.

I built wine for my RedHat 7.0 system as described on the Transgaming web
site.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry, I can't help you with Red Alert, but please can I ask you how
you
got it to install?  I've tried running autorun.exe, which says that it
isn't
running under windows 95, and I've tried running setup.exe, which says that
it can't find all of the files and to run setup from the CD (which I am
doing.)  Who knows, if I get it to work I might be able to help you....
