weft qda users - Sep 2008 - [Weft QDA users] Working on Project on Share Drive

Hi Alex,

 

Another posting said Weft cannot merge multiple projects, but can
multiple people work on the same project at once on a share drive?
Would they need to be coding different text files?

This won''t work I think. You can work separately, but not
simultaneously
on the same file. Changes one person makes wouldn''t be viewable by the 
others, and I expect it would risk the project getting corrupted.

Weft QDA 2 has some experimental code that allows guests to connect to 
and collaborate on a project on a different computer, but it isn''t 
enabled yet. There''s a few implications to think through, in particular
data security.
