Hi all , Just to be sure : even if we can now use XiphQT to have import/export quicktime function on mac OSX for vorbis and theora , we still can't tell itunes to import a CD in Ogg vorbis , if I have understood ? is this because itunes handle certains things like playing streams and encoding Cds in a non quicktime standard way ? -- %<------------------------------------------------------->% Michel memeteau VOIP: sip:17476005010@proxy01.sipphone.com 0491886375 0624808051 jabber/GoogleTalk : freechelmi@jabber.fr -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... [Vorbis] Importing cds in OGG & FLAC in itunes/OSX
If I remember correctly, and my understanding is very likely out of date at this point (iTunes has chnaged internally a few times)... Although the QT components allowed some Ogg functionality in iTunes, QT is indded something of a special case and iTunes's native architecture is not QT. At one point, we had a seperate 'native' Ogg plugin for iTunes that did everything but streaming... Now, could a Mac person who's been paying more attention bring my understanding more up to date? :-) Monty
