Hello, I would like to compile the Ogg Vorbis libraries and tools on my Slackware 7.0 box. Unfortunatelly Slack is comming with gcc 2.91.66 which is not suited for compilation of these libraries and tools. I downloaded, compiled and installed in a separate directory tree gcc 2.95.3 but now I really don't know how to make the configure script see it and set it properly as the compiler to be used. ./configure --help didn't give any hint and this is the first time I have two compilers in parallel on the same system and I have to specify which has to be used. I don't want to replace the older version of the compiler since, AFAIK, it is still the better choice for kernel compilation. Any help is appreciated. Sorry if this gets posted twice, i had some troubles here, windows ;) Thanks for the interest :) Maybe you could take a look at the "beta" version of the site: http://www.ogg-vorbis.f2s.com/Vorbis.html I think I'll create a banner for the top with icons for very part of the page, like on vorbis.com, and create an own page for every single part. And maybe german webspace would be a lot faster, so if you, Klaus-J. Wolf, could manage it, I would be very grateful, especially because the forum would take around 20 MB when 1000 people are registered, so I think at the beginning 20 - 25 MBs would be sufficient ;). I don't think we'll get 1000 registered members but limited webspace is always a problem. I would need some moderators for the forum too, but i think that'll get managed later. If there is a webdesigner around, I would be very happy if he could redesign the page, because my skills are very limited :) Bye for now, Benni --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'vorbis-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body.
