Hallo,> Just out today: Zorannt has released test versions of some Vorbis Direct > Show filters, courtesy of Info Ralf Blum. > > http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=24067Some notes: Apparently the installer doesn't do well on Win 9x, that's why I haven't announced it here yet. I will have to install a 9x test system first and do some investigation, so if you are using a non-NT system just monitor the package. Probably there's a fixed version available tomorrow evening. Sources are available from CVS. The next installer package will allow installing the sources as part of the setup, but that's not yet implemented. This is quite cool. I've been playing with it, and the playback of Ogg audio files in DirectShow apps seems to work fine. However, does anyone know how to get an Ogg file to mux into an AVI? None of my muxing tools are "Ogg aware", and there doesn't appear to be an Encode filter included in this distribution, so I can't have them encode directly to the AVI. If I name the ogg file .wav to 'trick' the app into handling it, no audio actually gets written to the output AVI. Is this just not going to work at this stage of the game? Thanks, --Wilson. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Reuben Martin" <rmartin@BRRARCH.COM> To: <vorbis@xiph.org>; <vorbis-dev@xiph.org> Sent: Thursday, June 28, 2001 3:55 PM Subject: [vorbis] Vorbis Direct Show> Just out today: Zorannt has released test versions of some Vorbis Direct > Show filters, courtesy of Info Ralf Blum. > > http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=24067 > > > --- >8 ---- > List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ > Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/ > To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'vorbis-request@xiph.org' > containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body. What you're talking about requires ACM Codecs. Doom9 has them available at http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Files/Audio/ogg.zip If that link no longer works go to the web site and look it up. The links there change quite often. Once installed, 6 different versions are listed, but I have yet to figure out what the differences are. -Reuben --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'vorbis-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body.
