Everyone might be interested in knowing that videolan's cvs tree, combined with the excruciatingly simple patch attatched, is capable of playing back chained ogg/theora+vorbis streams. (encoded with example cvs). For example, icecast video. videolan has decided to parse vorbis, speex, theora headers with its own code. There's an ogg demuxer (the file I patched) and the codecs are each in separate files, of course including an ogg-encapsulatable non-xiph codec or two. libtheora happily decodes video packets when it doesn't have the corresponding keyframe. - Daniel Holth -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... I think it's time to post links to these, along with various limitations (ie, inability to play chained bitstreams or inability to compile with current cvs), to theora.org. It'll give site visitors something to come back to check. --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'theora-dev-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body.
