[Wine] Question about wine 0.9.2 and VideoLan Media Client
Hi! I just installed wine 0.9.2 on my Linux system and tried installing VLC 0.8.4 for Windows: http://www.videolan.org/ The installer ran fine and VLC even started! I was able to open a WMV file but when it started playing back, it crashed: ----------------START---------------------- tom@linux:~$ wine vlc-0.8.4-win32.exe fixme:win:SetWindowTextA setting text "VideoLAN VLC media player 0.8.4 Setup" of other process window (nil) should not use SendMessage fixme:win:SetWindowTextA setting text "VideoLAN VLC media player 0.8.4 Setup" of other process window (nil) should not use SendMessage fixme:richedit:RichEditANSIWndProc WM_SETFONT: stub fixme:richedit:RichEditANSIWndProc EM_AUTOURLDETECT: stub fixme:richedit:RichEditANSIWndProc EM_EXLIMITTEXT: stub fixme:shell:SHAutoComplete SHAutoComplete stub fixme:win:SetWindowTextA setting text "Execute: \"c:\\Program Files\\VideoLAN\\VLC\\vlc.exe\"" of other process window 0x3004c should not use SendMessage fixme:win:SetWindowTextA setting text "Delete file: E:\\nsqfee0.tmp\\LangDLL.dll" of other process window 0x3004c should not use SendMessage fixme:win:SetWindowTextA setting text "Delete file: E:\\nsqfee0.tmp\\ioSpecial.ini" of other process window 0x3004c should not use SendMessage fixme:win:SetWindowTextA setting text "Delete file: E:\\nsqfee0.tmp\\modern-wizard.bmp" of other process window 0x3004c should not use SendMessage fixme:win:SetWindowTextA setting text "Delete file: E:\\nsqfee0.tmp\\InstallOptions.dll" of other process window 0x3004c should not use SendMessage fixme:win:SetWindowTextA setting text "Remove folder: E:\\nsqfee0.tmp\\" of other process window 0x3004c should not use SendMessage tom@linux:~$ VLC media player 0.8.4 Janus fixme:richedit:RichEditANSIWndProc WM_SETFONT: stub err:x11drv:X11DRV_CreateWindow invalid window width -21 err:wave:wodDsCreate DirectSound flag not set This sound card's driver does not support direct access The (slower) DirectSound HEL mode will be used instead. fixme:powermgnt:SetThreadExecutionState (0x80000002): stub, harmless. wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x00000358 at address 0x7f2cf3a5 (thread 001d), starting debugger... I'm using a wine 0.9.2 *only* installation (no Windows installation is around at all). Thanks! Peace.... Tom -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
