Which features would you like to see on the crantastic.org community portal?
Hi, As some of you know, one of the R Projects ideas for GSOC 2009 is to expand the crantastic.org portal. Some ideas for what should be done is mentioned in Hadley Wickham's project description [1], others have been briefly mentioned on this mailing list before. Undoubtedly, however, there are many other good ideas out there that could be implemented. Please suggest any ideas you might have

Suggestion to add crantastic to resources section on posting guide
Under the "further resources" section I'd like to suggest the following addition : * http://crantastic.org/ lists popular packages according to other users votes. Consider briefly reviewing the top 30 packages before posting to r-help since someone may have already released a package that solves your problem. Thats just a straw man idea so I hope there will be answer, or

Program BFAST
Hi everybody. I'm using BFAST program and I have some data to be analized (named "META.csv" for example). When I call BFAST in the following way: meta <- read.csv("C:/META.csv") meta.ts<-ts(meta, frequency=12, start = c(2005,9)) dis<-frequency(meta.ts) / length(meta.ts) meta.sc<-bfast(meta.ts, h=dis, max.iter=1) meta.sc$output The last statement has the

[RSpec] Error when returning multiple values from a stub
Hey guys. I''ve just found some odd behaviour within RSpec 1.1.12 , and would like to know whether this is a bug, or I''m doing something wrong. When I give multiple return values to a stub, like this: SubtitleFile.stub!(:new).and_return @sf1, @sf2 RSpec complains: Mock ''SubtitleFile_1001'' received unexpected message :size with (no args) However, if I

Using data( ) in a loop
I'm trying to generate 50+ graphs using the UScensus2000tract data. I need to access the data for just about all of the states, so I was hoping to create a simple loop that will take the relevant state from my data and load the associated census data from the UScensus2000tract package. Below is a sample of what I'm trying to do. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

[SoC09-Idea] Development of crantastic.org
Hi all, Here's my idea for the google summer of code - it's a resubmission from last year. We had a couple of interested students, but their proposals weren't quite competitive enough to get funding. Regards, Hadley Summary: Create an information portal for the fast growing list of R packages, integrating package documentation and journal publications with feedback from the useR

Getting estimates from survfit.coxph
Dear all, I'm having difficulty getting access to data generated by survfit and print.survfit when they are using with a Cox model (survfit.coxph). I would like to programmatically access the median survival time for each strata together with the 95% confidence interval. I can get it on screen, but can't get to it algorithmically. I found myself examining the source of print.survfit to
