Lustre discuss - Aug 2007 - Announcing an updated document version (v1.7) of the Lustre 1.6 Operations Manual

Dear Lustre users,

CFS is pleased to announce an updated document version (v1.7) of the 
Lustre? 1.6 Operations Manual, available in both PDF and HTML formats at 
http://www.manual.lustre.org.

This edition of the Operations Manual includes the following enhancement:

* Addition of mballoc3 content to the Lustre Proc chapter

If you have any questions, suggestions, or recommended edits to the 
manual, please file a ticket in Bugzilla (specifying Documentation as 
the Product).

On page 44,

Is this correct?

mkfs.lustre --fsname datafs --ost0 --mgsnode=mds16 at tcp0 /dev/sda
mkfs.lustre --fsname datafs --ost1 --mgsnode=mds16 at tcp1 /dev/sdd
mkfs.lustre --fsname datafs --ost2 --mgsnode=mds16 at tcp2 /dev/sda1
mkfs.lustre --fsname datafs --ost3 --mgsnode=mds16 at tcp3 /dev/sdb

 my system errors out with the --ost# arg.  I removed that but now I am
unable to mount it.

It also seems that /dev/sda is reused and it wouldn''t work either.

Is this example messed up, or am I?
