Latest Dell SC430 Compatibility With Wildcard
Anyone knows if the SC430, based on the Intel E7230 chipset, is compatible with the Digium cards? I've tried the compatibility page on digium's website. It seems like they've pulled the old compatibility list, now the links on the page only point back to the product pages. Over here, Dell is selling (for a short period of time), SC430 with Pentium D 820 Dual Core Processor 2.8GHz,

DELL SC430 + CentOS 4.0 + SATA HDDs
Dear gurus, Three DELL SC430s were purchased by my company a few months back and I've been told that when they spoke with the DELL representatives, they were informed that these servers were fully RHEL 4.0 compatible. Specs of the servers:- - Pentium 4 - 2.8 GHz - 1 GB RAM - 2x 250GB SATA HDDs I tried installing CentOS 4.0 on it but it doesn't seem to be able to detect any hard

Dell PowerEdge SC420 for Office Implementation???
I was wondering how the Dell SC420 will perform under normal office to office communications. We would equip each server with a T1 card to make office to office SIP calls. They will integrate into our existing PBX systems. Does anyone on this list use this hardware currently???? Thanks!

Re: Dell PowerEdge SC420 interrupt issue
We're using an SC420 and using BRI with a quadbri Junganns card, with IAX softphones and one hardphone. Working well except that we sometimes get dropped connections between IAX and the server with a max retries exceed message, which comes from the chan_iax driver code. The BRI side of things looks like it is fine. I had been thinking it might be a network issue but now wonder if it is an

Dell PowerEdge SC420 for Office Implementati on???
Thanks! So aside from the lack of redundancy, will it perform well and scale to utilize a full T1's worth of calls through to the legacy PBX? We would probably build a backup server from old equipment and rsync the configuration files. Re: Asterisk-Users Digest, Vol 12, Issue 171
The cheap ones on EBay won't work with the SC420 server. I have one and can't make any of the clones work. I do have one TDM40B card for analog stations that works well. The problem with the SC420 is that it won't let you set the interrupts yourself and you end up with interrupts being shared. =============================================================== Message: 26 Date:

dell sc420 connect to LCD 32" at 1366x768
Hi, I am attempting to connect my dell SC420 to a 32" LCD at 1366x768. I have attached my currect config file and currect X start log. How do I massage the xorf file to run at the native resolution of the LCD? It currently runs but is in a virtual mode. The screen scrolls. Any help is appreciated. I am using Centos 4.1. RE: SATA detect fails on ICH7 chipset / DellPoweredgeSC430
Please can you do an ''lspci -nv'' to find out the exact version of your controller. I''m wandering whether it features in pci/quirks.c and whether the fixup code is borked on Xen. Also, have you tried fiddling around with any of the BIOS IDE legacy mode settings? There really is no good explanation for a) why the MMIO region is so low on native, and b) why it is

Recommended rack-mountable server anyone?
Hey everyone, I've been doing a lot of research into a decent server for Asterisk but I seem to be running and circles and now I am turning to you. The issue I have is it needs to be rack mountable (so a Dell SC430 isn't going to work) and preferably have 3 pci ports. The problem that I seem to be running into is that when I look at servers from Dell or IBM or the like they only seem to

Installation trouble on Dell Poweredge SC420
Hi people I am new to Xen and having some trouble getting it up and running. I am trying to install it on a Dell Poweredge SC420 that has CentOS (RHEL3 clone) installed. The error that I am getting when I first try to boot into the Xen kernel, after having installed the binary and adding the necessary lines to grub.conf is : ---snip--- md: Autodetecting RAID arrays md: autorun ... md: ...

Two TDM04 with Poweredge
Has anyone on this list succesfully managed to get two (or more) TDM04 (with four FXO each) working on a Dell PowerEdge server? If so, which model? Was it a hassle? I'm doing a seven-line installation and a callbank seems like overkill, I just don't want to get suck with a PowerEdge that gets into an IRQ mess. Thanks in Advance, Tom Hayden

Setting X in 1024x768 60 hz refresh for LCD TV viewing
I am trying to hook up linux to an LCD 1333x768 LCD TV. XP in 1024x768 show up just fine. X does not. I have set the screen preferences to 1024x768. I have edited the xorf.conf file instead of have a range from 50 - 70 I change it to be only 60. I start X and it still comes up on my A70F monitor but still will not show on my LCD TV. xvidtune does not run on this PC. It says something about

Dell SC420 and Interrupts
The SC420 does not support APIC (at least not with current BIOS). The Digium TDM400B card seems to always seek the same IRQ so it locks one down. The clone X100P cards often get a shared IRQ, even if vacant ones are available. I've found both the Digium card and the clones very frustrating with this system. Thus the reason Digium does not recommend it. I've gone to a mostly SIP

SIP, * and clients behind NAT
I am new to VOIP, Linux and Asterisk. Through a lot of reading (this list, voip-info.org, documentation, etc.), I successfully installed FC3 and * on a new Dell SC420 with two X100P connecting to two PSTN lines at my office. I've also installed AMP to help me configure IVRs, call groups, extensions, etc. I use a Handytone-286 ATA and x-lite clients on the internal network and all works

Correctly setting up sound with Intel High Definition ICH7
Hi, Earlier this day I started a thread about Skype not working with outgoing sound. Now I wonder if it's not a problem with my soundcard. I had a vague suspicion about this, but since it's way off the original topic, I decided to start a new thread about this. Here's what the soundcard looks like: [root at grossebertha etc]# lspci | grep -i audio 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel
