[PATCH] xenstore-chmod
Hello,
I''ve modified tools/xenstore/xenstore_client.c to include a new utility,
xenstore-chmod. This utility permits developers and administrators to
manually change the permissions on arbitrary locations in XenStore from
the command line. This is often helpful if you''re trying to debug an
application that relies on XenStore and is encountering difficulties
with permissions.

[PATCH] tools top level makefile cleanup
I cleaned up the top level makefile in the tools directory. No major
changes. Except I have it so that ioemmu is compiled only with x86_32.

[OCAML 0/7] V4 or so of the xen ocaml packaging patches
Here is the latest version of the patches to package the ocaml libraries. Changes
since last time:
* rename the packages from libxen-4.1-ocaml* to libxen-ocaml* - we wont be
looking to install multiple concurrent versions of the same package, so
the version doesn't need to be in the package name
* Removed superfluous GENCONTROL definitions - dh_ocaml does what we need
* Removed

I am trying to install samba 4 on a CentOS 5.6 X86_64 with all update

http://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Samba4/HOWTO
Installed git and am able to use that to pull down latest version of
samba source code
ran ./configure.developer (can post output from this long file if
needed)
Once that was done I ran the make command and got this at the end

Still un-answered: How-To build Xen (3.2) to override XenSource''s linux-kernel (2.6.18) with a xenified kernel (your own or distribution)
Hello,
I can say that I have searched the entire ''world wide web'' and still haven''t found ''complete and clear answers'' to the often asked question of:
Given a Xen (release) build (say 3.2.0), which by default tries to get and build and assume Linux kernel-xen 2.6.18 from the mercurial repository, HOW TO override the build and make it work with a

Contacting upstream
Hi,
during the week I was thinking to send an email to the upstream development list
to see if, at some point in the future, we might have the changes needed for us
not to patch their package, or to reduce our patches even more...
The points I was going to touch were:
/etc/sysconfig:
We'd like, if it's possible, to have this be configurable at build
time... The default can remain like

[PATCH 0 of 1 v2] tools: honour --libdir when it is passed to ./configure
I''ve removed all the LIBLEAF bits in this version, but kept passing
the libfsimage plugin location via compiler command line.
If there''s a better way to do this, I''m certainly open to it. But
looking at it further today I think this isn''t too horrible.

[PATCH v10 0/7] build upstream qemu and seabios by default
Hi all,
this is the tenth version of the patch series to introduce upstream qemu
and seabios in the xen-unstable build system.
Changes to v9:
- rename QEMU_UPSTREAM_TAG to QEMU_UPSTREAM_REVISION: we are going to
use it with a branch name by default;
- set QEMU_UPSTREAM_REVISION to "master" by default;
- set SEABIOS_UPSTREAM_URL to git://xenbits.xen.org/seabios.git by
default;
- add

samba 4.10 searches wrong libs on cross-compile
On a Linux 64-bit machine, I'm trying to cross-compile for a 32-bit intel board. I loaded and cross-compiled 4.9.5 and that worked fine, searching the correct libraries. When I use the same Makefile in 4.10, it searches /usr/lib64 libraries first, and then my libraries, so I get a lot of warnings about "skipping incompatible" libraries. I also had an error reading my answer file in

[RFC][PATCH][TOOLS] CONFIG to build and link to local libaio
LOCAL_LIBAIO is prolly a crappy name, but this patch will enable a
tool build to select either the local or the system provided libaio.
Note, it only builds the local libaio.a so the linker get the right
one automatically, so you''ll want to "make -C tools/libaio clean".

[PATCH 00/12] Bunch of patches for cross-compilatio + RP4
Initially out there as #965245.
I strongly prefer to build ARM64 packages on non-ARM systems. Something
about my main build machine having twice the cores and twice the clock
speed. As such after many builds I've managed to generate a set of
patches which appear to mostly function to get functioning cross-builds
of Xen.
These are NOT a 100% solution. Some packaging hacks were needed. In

[PATCH] Fix gmp stubdom build when DESTDIR is used
The default make targets in the top level makefile set DESTDIR
which gets applied when the stubdom makefile
tries to do a make install within gmp to install libgmp.a
to the cross root.
Ian, do you want to apply this to your tree and commit the whole thing
or would you prefer I roll out a fresh new patch set with all updates
applied?
