XCP HA disabled? Xen Maybe?
I have two systems loaded with XCP 0.1.1 and it works well. XenMotion, Live Migrations and automated installs are fantastic. I am wondering whty the field for ha-enabled is read-only... Is there any way I can change this so I can enable HA on XCP? So when a host fails the other hosts takes all the guests. What would the best way to accomplish what I need? Would XCP be the answer or straight

XCP - VM creation from template and netinst
Hi all, i still have problem.. Some time I am able to install and other not. I tried this on different machine either in a pool and either in a single installation of XCP. These are the steps I use to create a VM: # set disk size xe template-param-set uuid=9d8c3be5-f16b-7446-b978-e23551d8a77e other-config:disks="<provision><disk device=\"0\"

Xen with Broadcom Tigon3 BCM5704
Greetings all: Loading Xen up on a server with 2 of these GbE adapters. I''m using the first one as the main interface and the second one for the NFS storage network. When things are running, I can see xenbr0 and pif shows it attached to eth0, although I don''t see any peth0 or vif0.0. I can connect to the main address on the machine without any problem. [XCP] weight/cap VCPU-params ignores during migration
Good day. I found that XCP ignores VCPU-params (weight and cap) after VM live migration, as well, as those parameters ignored if changed on running VM. May I as someone with xcp cloud nearly check this bug? Thank you. -- wBR,George. _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

[Fwd: XCP - extreme high load on pool master]
Good day. We trying to test XCP cloud under some product-like load (4 hosts, each with 24Gb mem and 8 cores) But with just about 30-40 virtual machines I got an extreme load on dom0 on pool master host: LA is about 3.5-6, and most time are used by xapi and stunnel processes. It''s really bother me: what happens on higher load with few thousands of VMs with about 10-16 hosts in pool...

XCP Xen Cloud Control System schedule
Greetings all! At the end of this next week, I''ll be releasing VM import and export support for XCCS as well as a significant chunk of networking support, including a few goodies to work with XCP''s openvswitch (XCCS 0.3.2). As well, load balancer 0.4.1 will be available. 0.4.1 considers CPU load as well as memory load in balancing the cloud. Multitenant support and

XCP Management Tools Inquiry
XCP Users: As many of you are aware, there are several open source products available for everyone to use when working with XCP. I would like to get some feedback on the various tools to get a feeling on how people are using XCP and these tools. Here are the tools that I am aware of (please respond if you are using another tool): * OpenXenManager -

[XCP] [''NO_HOSTS_AVAILABLE'']... what?
I''m still running XCP 0.5 on two servers. I am trying to make a few 10Gig Slackware64 13.1 servers (using the Windows 2003 server template). However, every time I try to start the guests in OpenXenManager, they die with something like: Async VM.start Slack64 13.1 #3[''NO_HOSTS_AVAILABLE''] I tried starting the hosts from the xsconsole and got the same results. XCP, just a quick poll
Greetings all: Just a quick poll, is anyone out there still running 0.1.1 or 0.5 RC1 of XCP? Just checking to see if I can dump the bug workarounds out of the next version of XCCS :). -- Vern Burke SwiftWater Telecom http://www.swiftwatertel.com Xen Cloud Control System http://www.xencloudcontrol.com _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list

XCP, XCCS, xe, and XVP, random thoughts
Well, that was a lot of alphabet soup acronyms :). I''ve just been thinking about the claim in a prior post that using the xe cli with XCP abnormally increases the XCP server load. The only way I could see this happening is to be running xe from the servers command line. I use xe extensively to do the grunt work of XCCS (Xen Cloud Control System). I don''t see the loading

Abiword as test of Wine
One problem with Wine has been that there were few serious open source win32 applications out there to test Wine with (ok, maybe my opinions are from 1997 :-) In any case, we have some great open source Win32 applications to test with. AbiWord is one. I just tried installing AbiWord 0.9 under the latest Codeweavers preview. The install worked -- but generated about a billion warnings of the

XCP NFS problems
Greetings all! I''ve just made the jump from standalone Xen to Xen Cloud Platform. I''ve been impressed with everything about XCP except trying to get an NFS SR to work. Backend system is FreeBSD with an NFSv3 server. I can create the SR and XCP creates it on the NFS server but the PBD will not plug and leaves the SR unusable. xe pbd-plug gives a return code of 32,

XCP 0.1.1, problem creating CentOS/RHEL 5.4 VMs, fixed!
Greetings all: In virgin XCP 0.1.1 (right from the install iso), a working CentOS/RHEL 5.4 VM cannot be created, despite there being a template for it. The VM can be created without error but attempting to start it results in a "no output from bootloader" message" The cause of this is a missing file in the 0.1.1 distribution. Download this file:

XCP 0.1.1
I knew it couldn''t possibly go right. First attempt at upgrading a 0.1.0 host trashed the networking config majorly. In defense of 0.1.1, I did have an odd networking config (since XCP had problems with the built in Broadcom ports, I pif-forgetted them and let Linux handle them. If it weren''t for the mutant network config, I bet 0.1.1 would have done ok. More seriously,
