High resolution graphics from R Windows Vista
Hi I appreciate there has been some recent discussion regarding generating publication quality graphics in R. I am fairly familiar with these issues and have had no problems generating high quality images from R windows version. However, I have recently install Vista and what previously worked well under XP now looks substandard when generated from R (using tiff(), jpeg(), etc) and I haven't

lattice ltext
Dear friends - please give me a hand. I have a dataset of 40 patients in two groups observed on three occasions. I only want to plot a line for each patient in the two groups. I use the ltext function to put the patient number but fail to make lattice understand the numbers as unique since apparently it starts all over with 1:20 for each panel instead of respecting my desires to have 1:20

Re: about cubase and asio...
Firstly, I want to thank you for finding some way for Cubase Studio 4.1.2 to work with Wine. I currently own Cubase 4 and it is the only thing keeping me from moving to Ubuntu. If I can get Cubase 4.5.2 to work with my Audiophile 2496 on Ubuntu (and it work well), I can finally ditch Vista. Reulle, since you've tested Cubase Studio 4.1.2 successfully, have you run into any further issues,

If I should be using either lme or anova, is the relevant example below the best/correct way to do the test? Vista Solitaire
I've searched all over and can't seem to find any info newer than 2007 on getting Vista Solitare to work on Wine 1.2. I did add the two .dll's mentioned on the bug board to the system folder in my .wine directory and added them in the config tool, but still no go. I'm trying to get this to work on my neighbor's machine as this is the last thing that he still insists on using

how to write crossed and nested random effects in a model
Dear R Users, I have a question based on my research. I am analyzing reader-based diagnostic data set. My study involves diabetic patients who were evaluated for treatable diabetic retinopathy based on the presence or absence of two pathologies in their eyes. Pathologies were identified using the clinical examination (Gold standard method). In addition it can be identified by taking digital

Tell me the truth about WINE
I'm an avid gamer, I play all kinds of games and a wide variety of specific titles, be they on the A-list or B-list. How realistic would it be for a person like me to rely solely on WINE for PC gaming? I understand that the pace with which WINE can catch up is relatively quick (a few months), but a few months is still a long time to wait if I'm itching to get started on a new release. I

Steam will not load after update
I had Steam/TF2 working. Using Suse 11.1 64-bit, Nvidia card/driver, 4Gb RAM, 2.6 Intel Quad CPU. ALSA sound (pulse audio uninstalled), Windows Vista, full settings in winecfg. My TF2 crashed and when I started Steam again, the Steam update downloaded and installed. Then Steam wouldn't start any more. I tried a new .wine dir. Followed instructions for removing/reinstalling Steam. Nada.

Powerpoint 2007 unable to insert video
Hi, installing Office 2007 was a breeze, I then added the override for riched20.dll. Word works fine AFAICS except for font anti-aliasing, but that's not crucial for now. Powerpoint can import .wav files but not .mp3 files. More crucially, I'm unable to import .mpg or any other video files. http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-470842.html has maybe a similar problem (year-old

[LLVMdev] Hi
Hello, Willow > I just tried ./configure and make install. Configure works file, make > install leads to the above error. Sorry, no idea. Actually, never seen this before. You might try these instructions, they worked perfectly: http://blogs.tedneward.com/2008/02/24/Building+LLVM+On+Windows+Using+MinGW32.asp x PS: And I suggest not to use vista as host system. -- WBR, Anton Korobeynikov

Asterisk SIP phones to Cisco Unity via CCM4.0SIP Trunk
It can be done. 1. Setup a new Vm profile on CCM with a mask of XXXX 2. Setup a CTI route point: a. Set the directory number to a pattern. I use *27XX but any pattern that you can send from * is good, ie. 88XXX b. Set the VM profile to the newly created profile c. Set the line to forward all calls to VM 3. Change the dialplan in * to append the extension called to the

bug 3794: smbclient and Vista_beta2: spnego fails
https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3794 Basically spnego fails with vista and you have somehow force to downgrade to ntlmssp. To samba devels: I see the bug submitter sent 2 emails to samba-technical that went unanswered. I don't understand why, the issue is real and blocking. Maybe you have some info that there will be changes in vista final which will solve the issue

upsd/upsc, LISTEN and hostname resolution in master/slave
Manuel, I very much appreciate you taking the time to share such depth of experience, that makes a lot of sense and clearly things out very thoroughly. I will amend my ansible common playbook to get rid of that line and will test to see if I can find any problems elsewhere, but otherwise that sounds like the best solution. thanks again, Spike On Wed, Mar 29, 2017 at 12:11 PM Manuel Wolfshant

[OT] - Why should I answer a Newbie question, therethick!
If you really want to do this the asterisk list is based off of mailman. You can learn all about mailman here: http://list.org/ But really, what are the odds that newbs will know to go there first? Are you going to moderate it? Someone has to actually answer the questions you know, if a newb only list is going to exist. Look, don't answer lame questions if you don't want to. Flaming a
