Is DOSBox replacing native DOS support in Wine?
I haven't followed Wine in quite a while, other than to do an occasional update (but hopefully this will change). I noticed DOSBox support was added in January 2011.
My understanding is that when Wine can't even attempt to run DOS programs itself (MAC OSX, 64bit OSes, etc) that it will attempt to run using DOSBox. Is this correct? Is the plan to replace native Wine DOS support across the

Recommended Groupware?
Hi,
is there a recommended groupware (email + calendar + address book +
syncing with mobile devices) on top of an existing dovecot installation?
Most existing commercially supported groupwares come with their own mail
storage engine. I would like to keep dovecot as the email storage engine
because of the maildir format which greatly helps with backup & restore.

cryptsetup
On a just-built C 7 box, I've got this: boot, boot_efi, /, swap, and
export. Now, the last three are encrypted. For /, I'm trying to add an
escrow key. df -h shows me that / is /dev/dm-1. However, when I use
cryptsetup luksAddKey /dev/dm-1, it just comes back, without prompting me
for a password.
What am I missing?

Ms Exchange vs dovecot
Hi, sorry for top post
but short answer is ,there is no exchange without outlook, that is what
makes exchange a good "groupware solution", on windows only.
So compare it to dovecot makes only small sense.....

Email/GroupWare Suite
Just wanted to get some thoughts from the list.....
We are a public k-12 school and are looking to migrate to a groupware
style system for out staff to collaborate better. Currently we are using
Squirrelmail/postfix for email. Does anyone have any
recommendations/opinions. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Proxy Access (Manager/Secretary) Best Practices?
I've mostly got our dovecot+postfix+SOGo+openldap open source groupware replacement working the way I want it to; we're replacing GroupWise in our organization and I'm thrilled to be doing it. I'm supporting about 1,000 active staff users (and another 6,000 student accounts).
I've got e-mail and calendar sharing working, and it does what it says it will do, but it is (go

Calendar and address book with Dovecot
Hi all
I recently install Postfix and Dovecot, and so far so good. My assumption
was that calendar and address book (similar to Gmail calendar or address
book) are part of Dovecot. However I do not see anything concerning them in
any of the docs I have read so far.
What other software (ideally open source, free) do I need in other to have
Calendar and address book so my users can manage their

Remote resources in kde-pim
For some time I have been using dovecot to serve imap mail on my LAN. Now I
want to add my diary and addressbook in kde-pim. I have got the docs from
the kde site, but they talk about cyrus, and I'm not able to translate some
bits of the instructions into dovecot ones. For instance,
"At cyrus level (in the PC that runs IMAP server cyrus, with cyrus tools), we

Have you looked at SOGo for a groupware option?

Dovecot and kmail IMAP resources
For some time now I have been trying to get IMAP resources working on KMail.
I have followed the docs from kde, but they tell how to configure cyrus IMAP,
so I've had to learn as I went along.
After a lot of help from the postfix list I now have a working sasl. The
ability of the user 'groupware' to log in with PLAIN has been checked in a
telnet session. Everything in KMail has

samba groupware integration
Hi,
I'd like to install a groupware server in our institute and looking for
a software, which connects samba and the groupware server, for example
for authentication (may be LDAP) and (more importent) to see the samba
shares (user and groups) in the groupware web-front-end. I've talked
this week to the open-xchange people at CeBit, and if I understud them
right, the samba integration is

Is there any way I can deploy cPanel web hosting control panel with Microsoft Exchange 2016 groupware behind one static public IP?
Good evening from Singapore,
Is there any way I can deploy cPanel web hosting control panel with Microsoft Exchange 2016 groupware behind one static public IP? Or do I need 2 static public IP addresses at the minimum? With Exchange 2016 groupware taking up HTTP, HTTPS, IMAP, IMAPS, POP3, POP3S, SMTP, and SMTP/S ports, I personally don't think I can deploy cPanel behind the same public IP as

Dear Richard Grainger,
I am grateful for your reply and guidance.
After reading the following article at nginx.com, I realize that I should use a reverse proxy instead of a load balancer.

looking for alternative to SME & Clark Connect
Hi all,
I'm looking for a (preferably free) alternative to SME / Clark Connect.
I basically need the following:
- firewall
- nat
- VPN
- bandwidth limiting / monitoring
- email (SMTP / POP3 / IMAP) & groupware
- file & printer sharing
- RAID support
- if possible fail-over / high availability support.
I need to support about 15 - 30 (some part time) students, so I would

DoveCot and Postfix Setup? or Zimbra?
Hi All,
I have not really setup e-mail serving on Linux before by myself. I have a setup now where it was setup for me running Dovecot and postfix. The setup works. I want to set this up again on my own system.
Does anyone have a good tutorial?
Zimbra...does it replace dovecot and postfx setup?
