The burst on connect was introduced as a setting in an earlier queuing

Is this possible
I don't know if this is possible, so I will let the collective decide.
Here is what I would like to do.
BossA calls BossB, BossB's admin assistant sees the call from BossA on
her phone. CallerID would look something like: BossA to BossB : on her
phone. And she would be able to pick if BossB was not in his office. I
am sure this is possible, but I do not know where to start, or even

The "a" or "?" which actually causes by a button press to a sing which
is called "new shekel" or "Shekel Chadash" which is two letters together.
What can I do to fix it? maybe someone have seen this in the past?

Standard genres for the "Genre" Field?
It might be a good idea to have a list of standard genres that are
suggested for use in the Genre field, just so that (polished) encoders
can give the user a list to pick from when encoding a song, instead of
making the user come up with one their own. This might seem like an
encoder issue at first, but if two different encoders use two different
names for a specific genre it's going to

Winbind Issue
Hi All:
I have googled, etc but cannot find the answer to this issue. I have a
couple users that belong to a lot of global groups (trying to do a clean
up but that isn't going as fast as I want it. So...) My issue: When I
id a user as root, I see tall of the groups he/she belongs to. IE: Group
in question - 10849(group19). However, when I su as that user, the
groups stop at 10215(group1).

Nullsoft Vorbis Decoder v.1.11a Bug Report
Hi, there.
While waiting for the encoder RC1, I will report some minor problems
I experienced with Peter's Winamp decoder.
First, I am using Nullsoft Vorbis Decoder v.1.11a with Winamp v.2.76
on Windows 98 SE.
1. When the buttons of Playlist Editor are extended, the part extended
in playlist screen seems to be flickering when an Ogg file is being played.

Would you be willing to share this rewrite rule with the list, please?
Some may find it useful. Thank you.

Using ldap for permissions/authenication
Hi all:
I am currently using Active Directories (via openldap client) to
authenicate my linux clients and would like to have samba use AD (ldap -
not winbind) as well. I really haven't seen any documentation on how to
implement, however. Does anyone have any information regarding ldap and
samba (redhat rpm)?
Thanks!

using iconv - how?
I am trying to use iconv to copy files from a UTF-8 machine to a iso8859
machine. The target is an embedded box with no UTF-8 support.
I've tried both --iconv=utf-8,iso88591 and --iconv=. and the result is
the same:
[sender] cannot convert filename: Chris Botti _ Michael Bubl\#351
(Invalid argument)
[sender] cannot convert filename: Stan Getz/Ballads and Bossa Nova/\#311

How to address the following: CRAN packages not using Suggests conditionally
Dear colleagues, dear members of the R Core Team,
This was an issue raised by Prof. Brian Ripley and sent privately to all
developers of CRAN packages that suggest Bioconductor packages (see
original message below). As mentioned in my message enclosed below, it
was easy for me to fix the error in examples (new version not submitted
to CRAN yet), but it might turn into a major effort for the

How to address the following: CRAN packages not using Suggests conditionally
Thanks a lot, I?aki, this is a perfect solution! I already implemented
it and it works great. I'll wait for 2 more days before I submit the
revised package to CRAN - in order to give others to comment on it.
Best regards,
Ulrich

Re-sending, since I forgot to include the list, sorry. I'm including
r-package-devel too this time, as it seems more appropriate for this list.

Possible VFS KPI and KBI breakage on stable/7
There are three sets of changes that would benefit stable/7.
Namely, there are
1. Improvements for the UFS unmount or rw->ro remount, that perform
suspension during the operation.
The changes depend on the the suspension mechanism path,
that introduced the suspension owner, and added new VFS OP
into the mount method table.
This might also fix the hangs with gjournal or

real SATA RAID
Hi
Last week I had a lengthy thread in which someone indicated the my SIL
card is a FRAID (don't know if F stands for the F word or Fake, though it
doesn't really matter). I want to replace the controller with a controller
that Linux will see the RAID1 group as a single HD and not multiple HDs as
it happens with the SIL controller. Recommendations anyone?
