https stream play 1 second and stop
Thanks for your response Michel. I encode with Omnia AX/E Software so that it can be processed a bit and it has built in MP3 Encoders. I believe it is happening to all my streams, but I only use the mp3 codec. Was encouraged to hear that I wasn’t the only one having an issue and look forward to some trouble shooting thoughts. I do not build my own packages so whatever OpenSSL version is in

Load balancing Icecast - aggregated logs
We use a dns failover solution include roundrobin. Its not super fast but in 120 seconds the solution work. So thats a good backup solution for the most radio stations.
Have anyone on php load balancing solution working on a webserver?

https stream play 1 second and stop
I have the same issue occur on a windows server 2008 running 2.4.3 and recently upgraded to 2.4.4
I don’t know what open ssl was packaged with it. It seems to run fine for a week or two and then all of a sudden it starts this same issue of playing one second and then stopping. Restart the service and it works fine for another week or two. But only an issue on https, the http streams are fine.

players who cannot handle switching to a fallback mount point?
Hi,
We use Icecast version 2.4.4 and use mountpoint /main and include use
fallback-mount.
When the /main is offline 92% of the listeners go to fallback-mount and
8% disconnect.
The format is 96k AAC and we have 8 mountpoint and 8 fallback-mount
points include extra fallback files AAC.
Are there any players who cannot handle switching to a fallback mount
point?
Best regards,
Michel

Is one source AAC-LC (standard AAC) and the other HE-AAC v2 (AAC+)?
There are three variants of AAC:
AAC-LC
HE-AAC (= AAC-LC with SBR)
HE-AAC v2 (=

Hello. I have same problem, and I think that it's because AAC+ uses VBR and
when it's changes, is not the same bitrate, because varies...

Using multicores in R
Hi,
I have an R script which is time consuming because it has two nested loops
in it of at least 5000 iterations each, I have tried to use the multicore
package but id doesn't seem to improve the elapsed time of the script(a
shorter script for example) and I can't use the mcapply because of technical
reasons.
I was wondering how can I make my script use more cores and memory because I

R on Multicore for Linux
Hi all,
I have R installed on a box, which is running on a machine with 16 core and
Redhat - Linux. I am handling huge (size of dataset will be 5 GB) dataset.
Lets assume that my data is in the form of structured (multiple) logs. I
access the data by using all.files(). Since by default basic version of R
utilizes single core, the processing of my analysis code is taking too much
time. I got to

players who cannot handle switching to a fallback mount point?
Hi Paul,
Thanks for the quick response!
We use the same type of encoder (Sam Cast) both live for both
mountpoints on 96 Kb Joint Stereo.
it is difficult to see if it is exactly the same. Is there a player that
show exactly this? I will check this.
We have use the limit-rate in our config. Thats work better for go to
play the last fallback-mount file (i test this).

[LLVMdev] A Question
Hi
I want to use LLVM to automatically generate multithreaded code for execution on multicore processors. My problem is code generation for multicores and concurrency primitives.
Is there any facilities for code generation? How should I start?
Best Regards.

https stream play 1 second and stop
Hi,
We have sometimes a problems with playing in https the stream starts
playing and stops in html5 or direct in the browser after a second.
If we use the same stream on http, there is no problem. I can not find
anything in the error log.
We use Icecast 2.4.3. Is this problem solve in 2.4.4?
Best regards,
Michel

Auto rotation on day/hour or dump possible?
Hi Philipp,
Okay that's also a nice solution rename the log file and reload icecast. Only it may be that the file size has been reached, turning off archive then is this option is the best way! Thanks
The wrapper works well so far. And also retaining the original log files.
I check the the Linux machine for the ssl problem for 2.4.4 and 2.5 beta.
It is Debian GNU/Linux 10 (buster) OpenSSL

Current status on _outgoing_ Swedish/Dutch DTMF CLIP for TDM400 FXS interfaces?
Hi all,
I have been looking at the code for both the zaptel driver (wctdm.c/wcfxs.c)
and the asterisk channel driver (chan_zap.c) trying to figure out how much
of this that has been implemented. So far I can see that the current stable
1.0.9.1 zaptel driver don't have the SETPOLARITY ioctl that would be
required to properly signal the Swedish/Dutch CLIP, but the 1.2 beta1 has

undoing a zlib test
I'm trying to undo a dovecot zlib test and uncompress 6 emails in my Junk mailbox. There are about 25 total in different mailboxes but I thought I'd first start with those in my Junk. I ran:
# dsync -v -u terry at dop.com -m Junk -o plugin/zlib_save= backup maildir:/path/to/temp/folder
which returned without error and backed up my Junk mailbox but didn't uncompress the 6 emails. Am I

keep in mind that the ticket you linked is about dumpfile rotation. log
file rotation is the same as it always has been.
