Re-2: streaming MP3s?
I'm using icecast-2.0-alpha-2 and ices-2.0-Beta2. When I put the .mp3 file in my webroot and start laying it via winamp/location/<filename>.mp3 it works fine, just when I try using the playlist via ices I get a 404. -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Re: [icecast] streaming MP3s? strange noise from icecast
It worked OK for past 4 days and now again with that noise. I restarted icecast server and again I have clear sound. It looks that the problem is in icecast. -----Original Message----- From: Remco B. Where would you find out who's in charge of this in the country you're in (other than just doing it and waiting for letters from lawyers ;) ). Thanks Hans Remco B. Then I updated ices2 (the one that worked was October vintage) and now it doesn't work anymore. I suspect that the fascility has been added to ices to specify whether streams are to be

Correct me if I'm wrong, but one thing still lacking in the Windows environment is software which can feed ogg files directly to IceCast2 without encoding. This would be very handy for me right now. Anyone working on anything? An Ices2 for Windows would be ideal. Regards, Ross Levis ==================================== StationPlaylist.com http://www.stationplaylist.com Low-cost music

encrypted passwords in Icecast 2
hello ! I've just installed the debian package icecast2 (I have the icecast 1.3.12 before) and I have a doubt about the passwords. In the icecast 1.3.* we should use the mkpasswd for our pass and put the crypted output to icecast.conf file. Isn't possible in the icecast.xml file?? (perhaps is not necessaty, I don't know). If this is so, can I change the permissions to this file to
