Directory Listings
The default configuration file for icecast comes with a directory listing for oddsock, but not icecast.org or any others. How do I set up the xml file to list me on icecast.org. And on a related note, what other directorys can I list the server on? --thanks Michael Edwards http://www.walledcity.ca <p>--- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage:

The development state of "Icecast 1" vs. Icecast2 has *nothing* to do with the web site. Not from a user perspective anyways. What's infuriating is you're not even ASKING for help..

Adding more to stats.xml WAS:Source XML for status.xsl
/me grumbles about upcoming finals: I note that the mountpoint entry displays the current songs title and artist, but not the album. In the particular case of my station, album is often more important (recognizable) as there are a variety of pop/classical artists who do music for anime. So I'd like to add an album nature but am going to need a quick overview on how stats.xml is generated.

iTunes 4
Last I checked, iTunes was unable to play my static playlist ogg vorbis stream. Assuming this is expected behaviour and not an anomaly; Does iTunes 4 resolve this issue? --thanks Michael Edwards http://www.walledcity.ca <p>--- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to

YP listings - how, why, where...
Hi, My icecast2 config file includes <directory> <yp-url>http://www.oddsock.org/cgi-bin/yp-cgi</yp-url> </directory> but when I go to the oddsock YP, I can't find our stream anywhere. Am I doing something wrong, or is something more needed in the config? Thanks in advance. I'd also be grateful if you'd clarify which YP I *should* be using! Does it make any

I never said that the information would be deleted. Rather, the new page will concentrate on icecast2 and related vorbis projects. The information for the older releases (as well as all the content from the Icecast1 page) will just be a click away. I'm not justifying anything. Read back to a few days ago, maybe a week or so. I asked for help documenting Icecast2 and Ices2. You just not

"preventing YP listings"
I am running icecast 2.2.0 on Windows XP and am trying to get yp listed so my server will show on the Icecast Stream Directory under WinAMP. My sense is that the error.log line seen below ending in "preventing YP listings" indicates a problem on my end but I do not easily see what it may be. Any ideas?
