You can use oddcast DSP (www.oddsock.org) ml On Friday 11 October 2002 06:56 pm, Richard wrote:> Help! > we're trying to set up an online radio station for Columbus day here > in Denver and can't seem to find a good working streamer for a windows > machine! heh If you want to capture audio live, you can use the advrec option on the plugin. If it's from a playlist, it will just stream whatever winamp plays. Enable the plugin in winamp and configure it. i don't use windows often either, so I can't tell you step by step :) I'm sure you can figure it out. rock ml <p>On Friday 11 October 2002 07:57 pm, Richard wrote:> Thanks but I can't figure out how to use it! Hmm now I know why I use linux!Oddcast DSP comes with an installer. After installing it, you'll find it in Options|Preferences|DSP/Effect. Select it and the Oddcast DSP window will pop up. This works only with a fairly current version of Winamp 2, btw. Winamp 3 uses a different plugin API and is not very useful in general (yet). You can also familiarize yourself with Oddcast DSP under Linux - this plugin is also available for XMMS, too. Btw, if you're using a stream source that used to be able to connect to Icecast2 but doesn't do that anymore, that particular source uses the deprecated ICE login. Either upgrade your Icecast2 (in case your version is older than ~Oct. 11th), which now allows http basic auth and icelogin coexist again (however, icelogin is still deprecated), or add <icelogin>1</icelogin> to your icecast.xml <p>Moritz --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'icecast-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body.
