Netfilter API -Kylix
Dear Friends,
Does anyone know any kylix source which use netfilter
API?
what about some "simple" C examples?
(I have seen libiptq man page ;) )
I want to write a program (with kylix if it is
possible)to monitor the traffic of an IP address and
whenever its credit is over (which will be calculated
againts the traffic) simply reject any traffic to/from
that IP, any idea or clue ?
Thanks

Latest Flac license thinking?
A while back Josh was thinking of changing the Flac license, and posted a
question on Slashdot regarding various licensing schemes.
Josh, have you come to any conclusions about future licensing of Flac?

Runing win32 Delphi applications with wine ?
Hello list reader,
Did people succed in trying to run Delphi applications with wine ???
Well, if they didn't work we can always try to use kylix to get them work.
But I suspect that we will have to go with lot of rewriting because of the
type of these applications : graphical intensive ones.
Any ideas about that ?
Thanks !

Do's & Don'ts when creating a Win app to be wine compatible ?
Hi,
i am in the process of prototyping a small (inter-)network
game client that is intented to run on windows.
I don't have the time nor desire to create a
dedicated linux port of it, but as some users may
want to use it on linux, i'd like to know what
points could be important to make a win app run
as smoothly on wine as possible with little extra
effort.

general linear hypothesis glht() to work with lme()
Hi,
I am trying to test some contrasts, using glht() in
multcomp package on fixed effects in a linear mixed
model fitted with lme() in nlme package. The command I
used is:
## a simple randomized block design,
## type is fixed effect
## batch is random effect
## model with interaction
dat.lme<-lme(info.index~type, random=~1|batch/type,
data=dat)
glht(dat.lme, linfct = mcp(type

Trying to make a Delphi database application run correctly
Hello, everybody!
First of all I have to say that I'm already posted this question in another forum:
http://www.delphipages.com/threads/thread.cfm?ID=206179&G=206179
but as I haven't got any response from there I thought that this would be the right
place to ask what I asked there. I really hope to get your help about this because

Removing points
I have a some data, and imagine a column of how many parasitic eggs found in
the stool of some children some of the children we do not have this data so
we put -1 in stead. How can you remove the people with -1, to calculate
means and do box plots. Thank you!

Code change required in x11drv keyboard driver
aAHello all. I know I'm technically a wine newby (having only just
installed the codeweavers preview 2) but I have a code change request.
Deep within the file ~/windows/x11drv/keyboard.c in the function
X11DRV_ToUnicode is the comment 'More areas where X11 returns characters
but Windows does not CTRL + number or CTRL + symbol'.
Whilst this is a reasonable assumption, this is in

Plurals and synonym lists
I want to correct spelling errors automatically. I have used search in
the past where I can pass an argument through standard search to correct
a word with up to 2 spelling errors for example or do the more Google
like "Did ya mean?". In this case I just want to change it automatically
and search. I am not too interested in specifying the number of
characters it is out by.

Streaming
This may be interesting to some.
I recently discovered AllCast.com which has developed a p2p streaming
solution. Unfortunately they decided to use WMA due to it's video
capability but hopefully they could be presuaded to switch to Vorbis
later when Tarkin is available. For audio though, it appears a good way
to reduce bandwidth requirements at the broadcasting end and potentially
