Weird issue - STATUS_DISK_FULL
Thanks David. It's a brand new array but I've double checked and there's not much space used and plenty free. -----Original Message----- From: David Disseldorp [mailto:ddiss at suse.de] Sent: 27 March 2015 16:11 To: Ciaran Scolard Cc: 'samba at lists.samba.org' Subject: Re: [Samba] Weird issue - STATUS_DISK_FULL Hi Ciaran, On Fri, 27 Mar 2015 15:35:12 +0000, Ciaran

Open SSL connection to HTTPS?
Hi All, I just tried to test my web server with telnet. The only problem was that my web server refuses non-encrypted connections (duh!). I know that SSL and SSH are *entirely* different, but ssh is the only commonly-available encryption-enabled command-line tool around. It would be greate to have an SSL-emulation mode in OpenSSH.... Just wishful thinking, Ciaran --

Scheduled Ogg streams for testing
Well we're testing scheduled Ogg streaming, but it would be nice to test with an audience bigger then me and a few irc users, so I thought I'd drop a note to the list. http://support.bbc.co.uk/oggstreams.shtml This will contain any scheduled tests to come and anything currently being streamed. For scheduled stuff, only things we're given permission to do by producers can go on

solaris success??
Has anyone been successful getting an icecast webcast going under Solaris? I have tried several times using different versions of icecast, ices, shout and solaris, but have never been able to get it working without seg. faults, or glitching, or other problems. -- ........................................................................ Hacking up streaming - we want to
Hi, We would like to stream some of our content as OGG Vorbis. We've currently managed to hack liveice and icecast to stream over HTTP and play that with ogg123. But from reading the dev list, I see that's also been done here, probably in a more elegant way - can anyone point me at the right place to see the current state of this? For now we'll probably just be doing this

Last Night of the Proms
This is NOT official, and NOT supported, but as the proms are a free to all event, I thought I'd set up an Ogg stream for anyone that's around today and wants to listen in. The traditional last night music has been replaced in recognition of the events of the last few days. http://dev5.kw.bbc.co.uk:8001/proms.ogg 'til 1045 BST, but beware it's 128kbit. There are various

The BBC tests Ogg Vorbis on the net!
An article I saw on the french news site http://www.linuxfr.org says that the BBC is testing streaming with Vorbis on his web servers. Apparently, it works very well with XMMS. Vorbis is growing in popularity and it's a good thing! <p>--- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message

yet another test stream / Icecast2 segfault
Hi, My stream is up and running until today evening somewhen (CET). http://scapa.dnsalias.net/oggmusic.m3u or directly: http://scapa.dnsalias.net:8066/test.ogg It's tested already, so it should work, but I don't know much about the reliability yet. Icecast1 unreproduceable segfaulted on me sometimes and that's what I want to know with Icecast2, too. It DID segfault today, but only

Configuring a 3510 for ZFS
Hi folks, Myself and a colleague are currently involved in a prototyping exercise to evaluate ZFS against our current filesystem. We are looking at the best way to arrange the disks in a 3510 storage array. We have been testing with the 12 disks on the 3510 exported as "nraid" logical devices. We then configured a single ZFS pool on top of this, using two raid-z arrays. We are getting

ices2 and vorbis RC3
Hi: I'm guessing we now need a new version of ices2 to work with vorbis RC3, at least if we want to re-encode. Is this correct? create very large file system
Suse Linux Enterprise Server 9 SP3 I've tried to create a large 5TB file system using both reiserfs and ext3 and both have failed. I end up with only a 1.5TB file system. Does anyone know why this doesn't work, what to do to fix it? Others have suggested that only XFS or JFS will work. Is this so? Thanks, -Mark

Can zpool permanent errors fixed by scrub?
Hi, we had a server that lost connection to fiber attached disk array where data luns were housed, due to 3510 power fault. After connection restored alot of the zpool status had these permanent errors listed as per below. I check the files in question and as far as I could see they were present and ok. I ran a zpool scrub against other zpools and they came back with no errors and the list of
