handling spam from gmail.
I am sick of this gmail spam. Does anyone know a solution where I can do
something like this:
1. received email from adcpni444 at gmail.com
2. system recognizes this email address has been 'whitelisted', continue
with 7.
3. system recognizes as this email never been seen before
4. auto reply with something like (maybe with a wait time of x hours):

This is not a job for dovecot. You should look into whatever is your MTA
(exim, postfix etc) and implement the solution there.
But my initial suggestion is to check SPF and DKIM of the email. Because I
know that gmail does terminate spammers quick, but if you don't validate SPF
or DKIM, you might be a victim of spoofed Gmail email.

Wrong mailing list. You need to ask on the list for the MTA you are
using (Sendmail, Postfix, &c).
Actually, this sounds like a job for a custom milter, which would look
at the domain name of the sending system, and reject the mail with your
message. Dunno if there is one that works exactly like this.

I get two or three of these a day. They are not from Gmail but have a "reply to" address that is a Gmail account. The messages cone from an email account that passes SPF and DKIM. So the sender and reply domains differ, but that isn't unique. I have email that I need that arrives like that.
I am on the Postfix list where this does belong, but I looked at the problem and decided it

I know it is not dovecot who should fix this. But anyone using dovecot
is using an MTA, and receiving spam ;) I know how to look at email
headers. Spf and dkim is not solving anything here.

smbclient works, smbmount does not
Hi there,
after browsing the mailing list archives for several hour I still couldn't
find an answer to my problem, although it for sure sounds as if many people
posted the same problem. Yet, none of the threads dealing with problems like
these matched my problem, so I have to start a new thread on my own.
This is my system environment:

- Mandrake Linux 8.1

small Local telco (wifi voip) some experiences with * ??
Hello. I would like to know if somebody did a wireles voip with Asterisk PBX.
I think to deploy a wireless for about 500 potential customers, it's a 3 km
radius maximum coverage with houses without phone lines, I work for public
places telephony small enterprises ( a common bussines in Spain) so I can get
good rates from 4 telcos and do LCR at my asterisk PBX.
Is anybody did this before

Your logics sucks. There is a difference between how email works and how
spamassassin works. You are assuming that everyone in the world is using
spamassassin by including it in 'how email works'.
Maybe you like to post a link to your bayes files????

Yes tell that to the people that create rhel6, rhel7 and rhel8 and give
lts support.
Unless google pays you to train your software to mark their messages as
spam, you might want to consider yourself not to smart as well ;)
My solution would solve the problem others create (see the other mail).
Your solution wastes your time and will always be carrying water to the
sea. I think if 50% of

warnings --- wish/bug (PR#1148)
When R prints warnings, they often go "out of the line", it would be
better if they where wrapped with
writeLines(strwrap ...
I tried to do that , changing the function warnings, but it has only
effect when called explicitely, not when R prints the warnings unasked.
Anyhow, here is the changed warnings:

function (...)
{
if (!(n <- length(last.warning)))

R1.2.0 (PR#766)
Here are a few comments on the new release (1.2.0), most about R CMD
check. I have managed to install and check my libraries only making one
change to a C function (see point 1) and one to an R function because
of the way formulae now look for their data. That is the good news. Of
course, more extensive checks are liable to find further problems.

Asterisk distribution for a Call Center
Dear all, I need to build a PBX based on Asterisk for a call center. I
have worked with raw Asterisk but it's hard to work for big
implementations think.
Also I have worked with Trixbox CE for a small bussines and it was
prette good, but I have not have many features like ACD. I know there
is another version called Trixbox PRO -specially Call Center edition-
that's not free but has got

Monitor application inestability and high load
Hi,
I'm having high load, choppy sound and slow responsives with an asterisk server (version 1.2.12.1) that make a peak of 90 channels (around 60 phones calling at max, isn't necessary to reach this peak to get the problem). All the traffic is SIP, with recording for every call. The server has:
Intel(R) Xeon(TM) CPU 3.20GHz (with HyperThreading disabled for inestability)
4G RAM

I'll go out on a limb and say... yes. The unasked question I sense is,
"is anyone willing to port tinc to python".
I can't speak for anyone else, but personally I'm happy that tinc is
written in C. It means I can use it in

wine stopped printing
Hi,
I started using linux (Ubuntu 10.04) in my bussines 3 months ago. Replacing my windows machines.
Up to now, was all stright forward, and without problems.
I am using wine (with all it's recomended upgrades).
I use wine, because I have a little visual fox program that runs the invoices and stuff like that.
Until yesterday, I was printing normally. No problems at all, and quite happy.

samba task switchin'?
Hello!
There is a problem with samba (tested: 2.0.5 6 and pre7) tested on Linux RH 5.2 RH6.0
and FreeBSD 3.3 and 3.4 (all the same result!)
The problem is a group of programs written in Clarion ( still in
active development, and working on different 1000000+ PC in many
network/single configurations). This is some kind of financial/management
software for small bussines. Databases are about 500K
