weakforced and GeoIP lookups
Hi Tobi,
it should just work, but depends on the OS version.
./configure ?help tells you all the configure options, including:
--with-maxminddb-includedir
path to maxminddb include directory [default=auto]
--with-maxminddb-libdir path to maxminddb library directory [default=auto]

weakforced and GeoIP lookups
Hi Neil
according to yum list installed I have
> libmaxminddb-devel.x86_64 1.2.0-1.el7 @epel
but I checked the saved output from my former ./configure command and found
> checking for GEOIP... no
but even running a new autoreconf -i and ./configure after a make clean
it still shows that GEOIP is not found.
Does the lib has to explicitly specified as argument

weakforced: Possible to access the ip address of report/allow?
Hi
I wonder if the information about the origin of report or allow can be
accessed somehow. lt.remote gives the IP of the client trying to login
but is there anything in lt which gives the ip of the system that
connects to wforced?
Thanks and have a good one

weakforced: Possible to access the ip address of report/allow?
Hi Neil
thanks for the hint with the dovecot config, adding this and I can see that
> ... attrs={local_ip="XX.XX.XX.XX"} ...
is now logged by wforce daemon. Then I tried to access that value from
wforce with the following testcode
> if (#lt.attrs > 0)
> then
> return 7, "ip_local", "ip_local", { test=test }
> end
but even if attrs are set

weakforced: Possible to access the ip address of report/allow?
From dovecot, you can add any additional attributes you like using the auth_policy_request_attributes configuration setting, e.g.
By default in 2.3.1 this looks like:
login=%{requested_username} pwhash=%{hashed_password} remote=%{rip} device_id=%{client_id} protocol=%s
But you can add additional parameters:
login=%{requested_username} pwhash=%{hashed_password} remote=%{rip}

weakforced and GeoIP lookups
Hi list
hope it's okay to ask weakforced questions here as well, but I could not
find a dedicated mailinglist for wforce.
I want to enable GeoIP lookups in my wforce daemon. In a first step I
installed luarocks and lua-compat53 to install mmdblua module.
Then I added
newGeoIP2DB("country", "/usr/local/share/GeoIP/GeoLite2-Country.mmdb")
local mygeodb =

Linux, UNIX, XP32, Vista X64 or ...? [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]
Dear All,
I am currently using R in Windows PC with a 2 GB of RAM. Some pretty large
datasets are expected soon, perhaps in an order of several GB. I am facing a
similar situation like Ralph, either to get a new PC with a bigger RAM or
else. I am just wondering if R is getting faster in other systems like UNIX
or Linux. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Regards,
Jin

Problems with XP32-"3GB-patch"?/ Worth upgrading to Vista X64?
Dear R-Users,
as I will start a huge simulation in a few weeks, I am about to buy a new
and fast PC. I have noticed, that the RAM has been the limiting factor in
many of my calculations up to now (I had 2 GB in my "old" system, but
Windows still used quite a lot of virtual memory), hence my new computer
will have 4 GB of fast DDR2-800 RAM.
However, I know that 1.) Windows 32 bit cannot

Test for equality of complicatedly related average correlations
Dear R-Users,
I am currently looking for a way to test the equality of two correlations
that are related in a very special way. Let me describe the situation with
an example.
- There are 100 respondents, and there are 2 points in time, t=1 and t=2.
- For each of the respondents and at each of the time points, I have
information on 10 X-variables and on 10 Y-variables.

Optipoint 400 Standard Sip
Hi everybody,
I am testing Optipoint 400 Standard SIP (Firmware 2.3.14) with Asterisk.
It is posible to dial from another Phone (x-lite) to the Optipoint, but when I try to dial from the Optipoint there is no dialtone and there is only a short beep when I dial Numbers.
The Optipoint shows "no Server..." (Registrar?) in Display.
Sip debug shows no unusual (to me) Messages.

\mathcal symbols in R?
Hello,
Some time ago, I discovered the possibility of using mathematical
symbols for axis labels etc. In order ensure consistency between text
and graphics of some paper, I would like to include the calligraphic H
(obtained in LaTeX via \mathcal{H}) in several diagrams. Is there any
way to do so? Is it in general possible to use further mathematical
fonts like \mathbb and \mathbf in R?

RODBC version 1.3-0 crashes with systemtables using SQL server 2000
Dear all,
I need to test for the existence of an index on a table. This cannot be done with sqlPrimaryKeys as it is not a primary key. Therefore I select directly from the systemtable of SQL-Server 2000 named sysindexes. This works well with RODBC Version 1.2-5 but not with version 1.3-0.
Here is the code of the test example:
sink(file = "proto.txt", append = FALSE, type =

For-Loop faster than vectorized code?
Dear R-Users,
I am working on an Hierarchical Bayes model and tried to replace the inner
for-loop (which loops over a list with n.observations elements) with truely
vectorized code (where I calculated everything based on ONE dataset over all
respondents).
However, when comparing the performance of the two alternatives, I found out
that the code with the for-loop actually was faster! In order to

Upgrade to 4.5 error (SLES 12 SP1)
