I've mostly been using MATE from epel when I use GUI access on CentOS7 because it works with x2go, but just noticed on a system with Gnome3 that I can't drag items out of the menus to the desktop or top bar for easier access. If you have the epel repo installed and enabled during a yum update, you get java-1.6.0-openjdk-1.6.0.0-1.0.b12.el5.2 instead of the stock .b09 version. Is this intentional and desirable? I'd like to consolidate the services from several old servers onto 2 CentOS7 VMs that are currently running dhcpd in a balanced/failover configuration. It will simplify things to add the IPs from the old servers as aliases, at least temporarily so everything will continue to connect without changes. However, after adding the first one, I see in the logs that DHCPD is sending its DHCPACKs

Does anyone know how the epel and rpmforge packages for memcached differ? I installed the rpmforge version some time ago before epel had it and now it looks like there are some conflicts in dependencies.
