VGA passtrough
Hi,
I've been reading up on how to create guests which will have a gpu. I found a technologie of nvidia called Grid K1 or Grid K2. It's a graphical PCIe card which can make virtual gpu's available. Only I think nvidia doesn't support qemu and it looks expensive (didn't ask for a quote yet) because these cards are created for 10 tot 20 users. I only need to support about 6

AMD Liano A8 Processors supported on CentOS 6.x?
Hi.
Red Hat is saying that AMD Liano A8 CPU's are not supported by
RHEL/CentOS 6: https://access.redhat.com/knowledge/articles/65431
Is that true? What can I expect if I try to install CentOS 6.3 on PC
with that CPU?

usb passtrough stuck to a given
So I have an entry for a USB device ( ID 051d:0002, UPS) I want
to use with a given vm client. In that vm client's config file I added
something like this:
<hostdev mode='subsystem' type='usb' managed='yes'>
<source>
<vendor id='0x051d'/>
<product id='0x0002'/>
</source>

[OT] JOB - AMD drivers
Apologies for the cross post here, but thought maybe someone might be
tired of NV bs and willing to try something new..
PathScale is in need of 1-2 kernel devs who are interested to help
improve the AMD open source drivers for compute workloads. If you're
passionate or interested to improve AMD drivers ping me offlist. In the
near future we specifically want to work on Hawaii dGPU support

Success: VT-d on ASUS P6T
Hi,
I''ve successfully used VT-d on an ASUS P6T mainboard which is known to have really buggy RMRR tables.
I tested passtrough with:
- the onboard (fake-)raid-controller (no problems)
- a pci card (no problems)
- VGA cards (worked only partly - I''ll investigate that)
I wrote a little patch to the code parsing the RMRR tables and enabled the following command line options:

Callpickup works for outside calls but not inside calls
Hello, all. I've got a problem where we set up call pickup for a
customer. If the Bob's extension rings and Bob is in Jim's office, Bob
can press the button on his Snom 320 that says "Bob" and pick up his
line. It works great for calls coming in from the outside but does not
work for internal calls. Internal calls generate a

Do we need "amd_iommu=on" for AMD system anymore?
Hi,
Since long time ago, to enable the SR-IOV VF pci passthrough function, I'm
always adding "amd_iommu=on" into kernel cmdline on AMD system.
But recently I found even I do not do this action, IOMMU is still enabled
by kernel on AMD system.
After searching, I found there is no such setting any more, refer to

Incorrect voice mail format on transfer
Hello, all. I'm running Asterisk 1.6.1.6 on CentOS 5.3 in a
multi-tenant environment with IMAP voice mail storage on Zimbra. One of
our clients is having a problem when transferring voice mails from one
mailbox to another (option 8 in the standard voice application menu)
using their Snom 320 and 360 phones.
The end results is the final recipient cannot listen to the voicemail.

PCI Passthrough, AMD, fails to initialize
I'm looking for assistance with pci-passthrough on CentOS 6.2.
I've installed libvirt version: 0.9.4, package: 23.el6_2.8 from yum.
I have a windows XP client setup via virt-manager which boots and runs fine
until I attempt to assign a PCI device to it.
The error log reads:
