[PATCH] xl: make libxl_uuid2string internal to libxenlight
libxenlight exports a function libxl_uuid2string which is used internally in several places but has one external caller in xl. The function mainly implements policy so should not be part of the libxenlight API. The extent to which it can be considered mechanism it is not a xen mechanism since UUID''s are not a concept exlusive to xen. The one caller in xl seems to be an

Bug#677244: xen-utils-common: xen-toolstack fails if either `xm` or `xl` is not found in xen-dir
Package: xen-utils-common Version: 4.1.2-7 Severity: grave Tags: patch Justification: renders package unusable Dear Maintainer, The script /usr/lib/xen-common/bin/xen-toolstack improperly aborts if *either* `xm` or `xl` cannot be found in the xen-dir (/usr/lib/xen-4.0/bin). This means that a default installation (e.g. following Debian wiki on the subject, namely installing xen-linux-system and

How to auto-start Guests when using 'xl' toolstack? 'old' configs in /etc/xen/auto/ are ignored without xend service active.
I''ve migrated my Dom0 host to Xen 4.2.0 + xl toolstack. With ''xm'' toolstack, configs in /etc/xen/auto are autostarted, assuming xend/xendomains services are started. IIUC, when using xl toolstack, those services are not to be started; and, afaict, the installation process for 4.2 has them disabled by default. Now, the configs in /etc/xen/auto are simply ignored. Ubuntu delta against 4.5.0-1 in experimental for disussion
Hi, I just finished preparing the Xen-4.5 merge from experimental into our next release (Vivid/15.04). And something I actually should have done since the 4.4 times is to report back the delta I have in case there are things Debian might want to pick up as well. So below is the commented debdiff between the 4.5.0-1 in experimental and the Ubuntu version I prepared so far (only compile tested on
