Do I need to configure times and percents?
On Debian Linux jessie: After buying an UPS and installation of nut-server and nut-client at my PC and configuring the ports and the protocol, do I need to adjust time and/or percentage parameters, to be sure my computer will be turned off automatically after a reasonable time after failing electricity? My UPS is Advice PRS850. If I need to adjust the parameters, please explain the details. --

usb disconnects
Hello, just joined to the list, because i have a problem. :S We have 2 exact same configuration: basic Fujitsu server + Eaton NV1000H ups. OS is Debian Squeeze. According to the driver list, the ups uses the blazer_usb driver. I never tried nut before, so i read some of the docs, and configured it manually. The problem pops up when i try to simulate the power-outage. I just unplug the ups'

Hi Team, I've been experimenting with getting the PowerShield Defender 1200VA UPS working and it appears to be supported by the blazer_usb driver, although it did not have the correct permissions within udev to load the driver as the non-root user after an RPM install on Fedora Core 16. [EXTERNAL] Fixing Drops With SMART1500LCDXL & USB-HID Driver
Ok, so I have made some progress that seems to suggest the initial “fix” I stumbled upon isn’t required. I haven’t yet worked backwards to figure out reasons why our customers have had similar complaints or solve the problem on the CentOS VM yet, but that is on the todo list. I am hoping it ends up just being not enabling the service on startup, but I can’t say that explains away all the symptoms
