[PATCH] fentonups patch to make it work with some powercom ups's
Hi list
here is the patch to make fentonups recognize some PowerCOM's UPS's, and
to setup terminal lines for them (at least for SMK-1500a) as powercom's
original upsmon do. fentonups -x powercom works correctly with SMK-1500a
(it screamed ''Communications with UPS lost - check cabling' or 'Short
read during UPS id sequence' without this patch).

Config for powercom 2200
Hey all,
I've tried some very base configs with the powercom 2200, but I can't seem
to get it to work. Has anyone dealt with these UPSes before, or know if
they use the standard powercom drivers?
I'd be more than happy to allow access to my test system so someone more
knowledgeable can take a look (and am also willing to pay something for
the solution of said problem.)

Specs for Powercom Kingpro UPSes!
Hey all,
I found a pinout of powercom's Kingpro UPSes in their manual.
http://www.powercom-ups.com/manuals/kingpro.pdf
Page 11.
Unfortunately, this doesn't give PROTOCOL details. Does anyone have a
"first step" at how to decode that? (for example, how to gauge line
speed, how to "snoop" the serial port under windows? (for which the only
software exists right

Megatec - modem control lines
Carlos,
Today I was browsing through the NUT Tracker and noticed an entry which
linked to a message on nut-upsdev:
http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/nut-upsdev/2006-January/000559.html
Although the fentonups driver is no longer in the tree (since it was
replaced by the megatec driver), I think there is still some merit in
this patch. Notice the following lines from this message:

NUT and POWERCOM SMART KING
Hi Alex,
I've forwarded your request to the nut-upsuser mailing list.
Please follow the discussion there.
I'm also not sure to have well understood your issue.
Don't hesitate to explain it a bit more if I'm wrong...

fentonups driver patch for Effekta MHD3000 UPS
Hi ups-devel,
As I looked throw www.networkupstools.org site, haven't found any
pointers where to send patches, so I hope this is the right place.
(Please let me know weather this is the right place.)
The patch contains a minor change in the logic of the driver, our
Effekta MHD 3000 UPS continuously writes status data to the serial port,
so one has to send a CR character and empty the

Unable to disable beeper on Powercom Imperial IMP-525AP
Hi ALL,
Powercom Imperial IMP-525AP seems to be fully compatible with NUT.
Unfortunately, I can not disable beeper.
upscmd -u {NUT_USER} -p {NUT_PASSWORD} powercom beeper.toggle
returns *OK*, however, ups.beeper.status=enabled
Thank you,
Sergey

Powercom 600AP USB support
Hi,
I know it's been a topic many times here, but I've searched the
archives, googled for days, and I simply don't believe, that there is
still no solution to this.
I'm using a PowerCom BNT-600AP ups with usb port.
I've downloaded the latest version from svn, compiled it, and tried to
use it:
* megatec(_usb) - no luck, it did not find the UPS (I?ve read in this

Powercom BNT-1500AP serial config
Hey all,
Finally got around to hooking up my Powercom BNT-1500AP to nut. It's the
old serial interface.
Connects okay and gets most information, but a couple of data are way off.
Any config recommendations or upgrade recommended? I've played with
config a little, but no hits yet.

No-no, there is no an old 0x0004 or new 0x0004 device, I guess that we
have to handle general case for all 0d9f:0x0004 devices.

PowerCOM HID PDC non-compliance
Alexey,
I posted this before, but never got a reply. So I'm reposting this again.
In the present HID PDC implementation by PowerCOM, expect problems
with the non-compliant implementation of the DelayBeforeShutdown and
DelayBeforeStartup pages.
Third party applications will expect that these follow the HID PDC
specifications if you name them like this (and break terribly in the

Powercom issues in NUT (was: PowerCom BNT2000AT ups on nut 2.6.0 - second try)
Dino, Alexey,
there are a number of users suffering issues with your Powercom devices.
Could you (Dino, and Keven if possible) please have a look at the below one,
from Angela, and check for a fix?
I've scheduled to release 2.6.1 next week, and having that fixed is part of
the list.
