Success with newhidups - Dynex DX-800U
Just wanted to report that I have successfully got a Dynex DX-800U UPS
functioning with the newhidups driver. This UPS appears to be made by
CyberPower Systems and I believe is the same as the CPS 800AVR.

bcmxcp: Patch for cosmetic code changes
Hi
Here is a very minor patch for the bcmxcp.c driver, mainly fixing the
function name used in debug statement, and at the same time fix indentation.

Incorrect 'low battery' detected with Back-UPS XS 1200 (newhidups)
Hello All
I just discoverd NUT and I'm lovin' it. I was very successful getting
nut to monitor a CyberPower UPS along with having a Linux slave for a
friend of mine. I've come to a snag on my personal system though. I
currently have two Back-UPS XS 1200 APC UPSs, and I'm seeing
notifications of low battery on both units.
Now, both units are not showing 'low battery' on

Problems with newhidups and Smart-UPS 750
Hello,
I encountered a problem with my APC Smart-UPS 750, connected via USB, using newhidups.
Without any reason, nut/upsmon shut down my PC:

Misreported values with newhidups
Okay, now that I've got NUT up and running with the newhidups driver, I can
give it a quick shakedown.
Most of the values look good, but are few are off. Here's what I get:

Tripp Lite OMNI1000LCD UPS (USB)
Hello NUT-UPSUSERS,
I would just like to try and help other and indicate that I was able to use
the development trunk and get the Tripp Lite OMNI1000LCD UPS (USB) working
with the newhidups drivers on Gentoo Linux. The one that is currently
available at many local Costco stores and online.
In case others need to replicate, I've attempted to document my steps over
here.

upsmon keeps broadcasting on battery / on power (driver is newhidups)
Hi,
I try to install the newhidups driver for a MGE Pulsar M2200 connected to a USB
port under Linux Red Hat 4 Upd 4.
I have compiled and installed the usb driver (make usb && make install-usb). I
followed the instructions in /nut-2.0.5/scripts/hotplug-ng/README abour the
/etc/udev/rules.d/025_nut-usbups.rules.
The ups is recognized by the kernel:

Belkin and newhidups
Hi Peter,
I got all your patches and applied them, and I wanted to say kudos for a
great job done.
This is the output of upsc that I'm getting right now.
I had the same issue when using any cvs version (from two weeks ago)
that made my UPS go into a state where it wasn't functioning normally
(checking the kernel log shows that it cannot be connected and I had
around a page of DEVFS_USB

Differences between newhidups (MGE tables) in 2.0.4 and svn trunk
I was looking at how other drivers deal with outlet collections, and I
noticed some differences between newhidups in 2.0.4 (from Debian's
2.0.4-2.3) and the SVN trunk (rev 723) on an Evolution. Full diff is
below, but here are the highlights:
* MGE HID 0.9 vs 1.0
* outlet.#.switch seems to have moved to the commands outlet.#.load.{on,off}
Then I found this in the ChangeLog:

Hi,
I am using the NUT Software 2.7.4 (Ubuntu Repository) on Ubuntu 18.04.
Configuring a UPS with the snmp-ups driver and overriding the
battery.runtime.low variable leads to following warnung/error:

Default for battery.runtime.low is 180 seconds. My idea is to increase

Fwd: Fun with TrippLite
Hi Charles and Jonathan,
I am going through my over 300 unread NUT messages, and I just
discovered this one from mid-December. At the time, I was trying to
clean up the tripplite subdriver of newhidups, but never got the
information I needed. I have enabled this driver now, but it is marked
"experimental". The driver is still incomplete, in the sense that
there are many unmapped device

Bestfortress driver, network serial patch for nut-2.0
Best fortress support was understandably dropped, but we still use them,
and someone else may want the driver I ported to nut-2.0.
We also often attach the serial cable from a UPS to a network terminal
server, since servers these days don't come with very many serial ports.
(They call them "legacy" ports.) I submitted a patch to support these for
nut-1.x, and it was rejected

I just got NUT 2.0.1 running on my Debian system at home.? I have a
new CPS UPS connected via USB.? Everything is working fine, except
the UPS is showing a value of 120% charged.? Any idea what causes
this?? Here's the upsc output for my UPS:

Patch for optiups to support Zinto D from ONLINE USV-Systeme AG
Hi Arnaud,
Hi Scott,
Hi list,
Here is a patch to support the Zinto D from ONLINE USV-Systeme AG.
I already sent a version to Russell Kroll (2006-04-09), without no response
and I cannot find support for Zinto in svn until now.
I found a discussion on this list about the Xanto from ONLINE, but the Zinto
seems to use different commands.
The commands are quite similar to those for Opti-UPS, so I

APC Smart-UPS 1000 RM USB problems with newhidups
Well, after our first real extended power outage, I found out that even
though the UPS 1000 RM is recognized okay, it does not work properly. It
never seems to see any change in UPS status. It looks very similar to the
other issue I reported with the APC CyberFort 350. I never was able to get
to the bottom of the CyberFort issue, but I'll bet it's the same issue as we
have with the

newhidups / Solaris 10 / APC RM1500
Hi there,
been using NUT for ages and recently upgraded to a new server; while
I'm waiting
for a USB->Serial adapter for Solaris to arrive, I thought I'd play
with the
newhidups, as the APC UPS I have has a USB port and the new server
doesn't have
a serial port....
I've got Solaris 10 & newhidups working with the ugen driver up to a
point,
and that is a read
