Tripplite OMNIVIS1500XL Connection Refused
I'm having problems creating a UPS connection to my Tripp Lite UPS
System: Ubuntu 8.04.2 Nut 2.4.1 freshly compiled from source.
When I do upsdrvctl start everything appears to work and I get

TrippLite OmniVS1000 not recognized?
The Compatibility page lists the OMNIVS1000 as supported, but the
tripplite_usb driver doesn't seem to recognize my UPS. Below is the debug
dump from attempting to load the driver. I am using the nut package from
Debian: 2.2.1-2.1 and I was wondering if this was a known issue?

Adding TrippLite SMART550 / Protocol 2001 Support
I have added preliminary support for the TrippLite protocol number 2001
into tripplite_usb.c. The attached file is supplied as a patch against
today's SVN.
This patch adds support for TrippLite SMART550USB and some Omni models.
Tested are On Line, On Battery, Battery Good, and Battery Bad indication.
Everything else seems to work, but this UPS is attached to a critical
system, and I can

Any good SNMP tutorial?
Hello, I am looking for good instructions on how to configure NUT to receive SNMP Trap signals and how to shutdown a server. My setup is:
NUT: version 2.7.1-1ubuntu1, from package
OS: Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS
UPS: Tripp Lite SMART3000RM2U
The only thing I was able to understand from the documentation is to an entry in ups.conf:

Tripplite SMART2200VS with tripplite_usb: UPS doesn't shut down
Please ignore the previous message as I sent it before it was complete.
Hello,
I have a Tripplite SMART2200VS that isn't being shut down when the nut
master asks it to. My initial test was simply upsmon -c fsd which did
cause the system to shut down, however the UPS remained on and providing
power to its loads. Looking in the logs (daemon and syslog) it was not
clear to me that NUT was

Tripp Lite OMNIVS1500XL, tripplite_usb, Error reading {L, S, B} value
Hi,
I'm working with svn trunk rev 815, testing tripplite_usb with this model. I
haven't gotten far in my testing, but thought I'd notify the list of this error
message. Is this message of any consequence, and is it worthwhile for me to
continue testing prior to resolving this? I am happy to help debug any driver
issues, so please let me know if I can be of assistance.

Tripplite_usb
He everyone,
I have a Tripplite SMART700DVa using the tripplite_usb from NUT 2.5 (rev
2217) driver running in Solaris 10x86. My driver hangs when trying to
connect. Once the driver sends the watchdog command ("W\0"), it can no
longer receive any signals and eventually exits. The UPS responds to
other watchdog commands ("W5" for example), but there doesn't seem to be

Adding tripplite smart1500 UPS to tripplite_usb
Hello,
I have a Tripplite SMART1500 UPS, and I'm having a little luck with the
tripplite_usb driver. Only a LITTLE though. It's working better than any
of the other drivers I've tried, but I'm not getting a status from it.
Here's the output of upsc:

battery.voltage.nominal: 36
driver.name: tripplite_usb
driver.parameter.port: /dev/hiddev0

SMART3000RM2U?
Can anyone point me to information for getting the Tripplite SMART3000RM2U
to work with NUT? Our newer Tripplite units seem to work with the
usbhid-ups driver, but these older ones seem to need something different.
So far I have had little success getting tripplite_usb to work.

Tripplite UPS
Leslie,
This message is most appropriate for the NUT user list. I kept Rik
Faith's and Nicholas Kain's copyright information because the
tripplite_usb driver borrows heavily from the tripplite (serial)
driver, but they are not responsible for the mess that I made in the
USB driver.
See below.

compatibility with Tripps SMART/OMNI/OMNISMART ?
I've having trouble understanding the NUT compatibility page.
Is it compatible with the OMNISMART300? Or the OMNI900LCD?
The compatibility page said for instance
SMART550 -- tripplite_usb
SmartUPS -- tripplite
OMNI650LCD -- usbhid_ups
so I'm not sure if an OMNISMART300 is like a Smart, or a SMART, or an OMNI,
or even if it's supported at all.
Thanks in advance for any help!
