Taskbar buttons missing in Wine 0.9.59
More than one of my apps have no taskbar button (Wine 0.9.59 and Gnome 2.20). Is this the same problem as bug #12362 ? Bill

incomplete window contents when unminimizing
Hi, Using Xgl, when a window is unminimized, sometimes (especially with Firefox), the window contents are not immediately visible (partially or completely) until an unminimize animation is completed. That is, sometimes there are empty (transparent) rectangles within the window (maybe corresponding to some Mozilla controls), and sometimes the whole window is empty (only the decoration is visible).

MacOS X Quartz Rendering?
I just tried rendering a plot of 166 data point (time series) on my PPC mac, and compared it with the same data rendered by Mathematica. The R plotting is very slow to paint and repaint, compared to Mathematica. This also makes it extremely awkward to use in other documentation such as pdfLatex. On closer inspection, it looks like the Mathematica plot is just a polyline, while in R it is a

[LLVMdev] [cfe-dev] RFC: A Great Renaming of Things (or: Let's Repaint ALL the Bikesheds!)
Hi there. What about repainting the top-level bike-shed - the build system itself? I've got a framework called "v3c" in SourceForge that has a top-level makefile. From that makefile you can just do "make" to build it with debug information, "make release" for a release build, "make -j7 distcheck" to throw a few cores at the build, "make -j7 git

[PATCH] Rendering: swap buffers and copy only needed parts
Hi, I've been experiencing serious tearing in compiz when screen is painted only partly. Either "Sync To Vblank" option in compiz doesn't work or copying repainted parts from backbuffer to frontbuffer is too slow. And since many people rely on driver's implementation of Sync to Vblank, it would be optimal to always use glXSwapBuffers. This can be accomplished via keeping

How to trigger an event?
Sorry, but this is probably more of a wxWindows question, but I find it quite hard to wade through all those docs... How do I trigger an event? Like if I want to force a repaint, how do I do that? Is there some kind of refresh or repaint method? Cheers, H

"taskbars" or "windows lists" in Wine
I am running Wine 1.2-rc7 on a Ubuntu 10.04 minimal install. I have installed X, and Wine seems to run fine. The problem is that applications that want to make a "window list" or taskbar don't draw them. It isn't a fatal error, the applications simply act like nothing happened. For instance, when I use BBClean (blackbox for Windows), it shows the panel but not the window list.

Source games not letting me tab out.
Hi guys, Up until recently, I've been able to tab out of Source engine games (L4D2, TF2, and so forth) without a problem. It's never given me an issue before, so I can tab out and check for IMs and such. However, recently it won't let me do so. It may have been because I reinstalled Lucid Lynx Ubuntu, but now if anything brings the taskbar to the front, the game still runs but it

[PATCH] plugin conflict between Minimize & Animation: add feature "windowanimations"
Hi, The minimize plugin conflicts with Animation. For example, it doesn't let Animation draw shade animations, and interferes with other window event animations. The animation plugin now minimizes the relevant effects to taskbar, so using the two plugins together doesn't make sense anymore. Moreover, by default Animation is off, Minimize is on, and when users enable Animation, naturally

Problem with gnome
Hi all, I am using Centos 4.1 with Gnome and my updates are OK (When I do yum update, I have nothing anymore) Normally, with GNOME there's a task bar in the bottom of the screen. If we open an application and we minimize its window, it is always avalaible in this task bar. There are other things in this task bar : a button on the left which is used to minimize all the opened windows and

Waiting for CentOS to thaw....
Hello list, I've put CentOS 6.3 x86_64 on my desktop, replacing Fedora 17 x86_64. This is the first time I'm using CentOS on a desktop, so far only on the servers. The problem is with thawing from hibernation. Time from turning on the hibernated machine to reaching the login prompt is not that of an issue, although sometimes it can take a while (significantly more than with Fedora).
