drop manitu.net
listadmin, Can you PLEASE, PLEASE find *any* other blacklist than manitu? This asshole's method was ok a dozen years ago; these days, with hosting sites hosting tens or hundreds of thousands of domains, with too many running Windows, and so infected and sending out spam. They then send all mail via one mailhost, with the result that those of us with *no* spam coming out are frequently

Admin business
Karanbir, PLEASE! You've never responded to my question about whitelisting. That asinine nixspam did it to me again, and this time... seriously, I urge you, personally, to go there and try to remove a site. They've "enhanced their security", that is, mangling the capchas, to the point that it took me about five minutes or more, and about a dozen or 15 challenges, before I

Multiple extensions - same context
Hey Everyone; I inherited an Asterisk box where the dialplan is a real mess. ( I would actually be embarrassed to post some of the stuff!) So, here is what I need to do - and again, I am looking for fishing nets and places to cast them - if I don't figure it out, I will never freakin' learn! I have several users configured (101, 102, 105, 155, 211, etc). They are all in different

If many domains, and the same mailhost, only then block the mailhost. I've been thinking about

Win2k, rsync, and ssh on cygwin
Hi, The subject line pretty much says it all. Oh, that plus I'm tearing my hair out trying to get it all to play nice together. rsync version = 2.5.5 protocol version 26 OpenSSH_3.5p1, SSH protocols 1.5/2.0, OpenSSL 0x0090608f cygwin -- downloaded in the last 3 days from official mirrors. I'm trying to make one Win2k box rsync with another Win2k box. I managed to get it such that an

sip show channelstats reliable?
I am seeing lots of lost packets when running the command sip show channelstats at the CLI. There are issues across multiple Asterisk servers I am trying to diagnose but everything I read seems to point to this command being pretty unreliable. Can I trust the info this command shows? I am showing lots of lost packets in sip show channelstats but I can't see any packet loss when pinging the

CentOS 7, systemd, NetworkMangler, oh, my
Too much temptation to resist, I don't know which one of us is older but I have a feeling it's a "horse race". Like you, I still have a land line, WiFi is too slow and "WiFi security" seems to be an oxymoronic phrase. Why people text (or IM for that matter) anything other than a one-liner is beyond me. Now for the real issue, what happens when Network Manager

Samba User Nightmare
Hey, I need help! (I'm kinda new to this.), This past weekend I switched over our server at work from a MS NT 4.0 server to a Red Hat Linux version 9 server. I had to set up several network shares via Samba. For testing purposes I set up a former employee's account on the new server. This account would enable me to communicate with the old server and the new to copy over files. All the

sip show channelstats reliable?
I've seen something similar with Adtran SIP gateways. When a re-invite happens the Adtran gets all confused about call stats and marks the pre-reinvite leg of the call as losing large numbers of packets. BTW, IIRC reinvites happen when a codec changes or the channel switches to T.38. Also Adtran SIP gateways appear not to support OPTIONS packets when running in SIP proxy mode, which is

AGI - Freakin Lost
Ok, I have spent that past 4 - 5hrs working (trying to) figure some AGI syntax out in perl. Maybe I'm Looney / slow or what I don't know, but I am lost. I need to figure out how to send STDIN into the script. I understand the concept of it, but lost when it comes down to it. No matter what I try with standard <stdin> The app completes on me before I can ever enter in keys. I

install woes
I'm really at a loss. I had 5.11 running on this machine, from this physical boot disk, until I stepped on /bin the other day. I've tried installing Centos 5.10 and 5.11 to this Seagate 1TB drive. Both installs run perfectly, but when I try to reboot, grub says Filesystem type unknown, partition type 0xee googling this indicates that the disk has a GUID partition table. This must have

Wine not working, Slackware 10.2
Clean install of Slackware 10.2. Wine 0.9.20. Downloaded slackware package. Installed with KPackage via KDE, no errors. I have several Windows apps that I used under Wine with Slackware 10.0. I right click on executable, select Wine Windows Emulator, I can see in the process table Wineserver, wine-preloader, and wineprefixcreator(?). Then they all go away, and nothing happens. It doesn't
