Today marks the release of script.aculo.us 1.5_pre4
The single biggest addition are the new effects queue and the text
effects.

minimal browser requirements for scriptaculous
Hi,
I noticed that the scriptaculous shopping cart demo doesn''t work in
safari 1.03.
I was wondering if there was documentation somewhere that would tell me
what my minimal browser requirements were for running scriptaculous?
I found this comparative analysis on the web:

Slider.js - Attemting to put values in form.
I can''t figure out how to take that value that the user has chosen in
the slider and put that into a form value. Does anybody know how to do

Heya,
The script.aculo.us SVN repositiory now holds the 1.6 beta.
This version is mostly a refactoring/bugfix release, and marks the
switch over to
Prototype 1.5 (Prototype 1.4.0 is no longer supported). The required
prototype.js
file is included (lib/prototype.js) of course.

Can a Sortable be disabled/deactivated/destroyed once it''s been created?
I''ve tried a few different things with no success.

Sortable onChange fires for every mouse movement
Anyone found that sometime between 1.6.4 and 1.7.1 beta releases of
Scriptaculous that something has changed with the way that the
onChange is fired?
In 1.6.4 it fired once, now in 1.7.1 beta it fires everytime you move
the mouse.

scriptaculous setting options - Speed
How do you set the options for an effect, I have multiple effects on
a page, some are small boxes but others are larger, I want to be able
to set the speed of each effect individually.
so the question is how do I have 2 effect.BlindUp objects on one page
with different speeds?

examples of drag n drop
Sorry if this sounds cynical, ( i do love script.aculo.us scripts ) ,
but I am wondering if people know of some good real world
examples of uses of drag n drop and sortable lists.
such a cute script will likely be *ab*used as much as it is used.
obviously the point here is to use script.aculo.us to improve
the user interface rather than just have some k00l eFX.
