Redelivery of mdbox messages to pass through sieve
Hey,
I've been slack and haven't updated my sieve script for yonks, and
finally got round to it.
What I was wondering is whether there was a way to basically take all
the messages from a
folder and pass it through sieve again. I've found earlier messages in
this list, but they
were for Maildir format, not mdbox which I use now.
Does anyone know of a way to do this?
Cheers,
Hugh

MS Exchange IMAP Proxy
I need to make the IMAP interface of an Exchange 2000 server available
on the net, however I would like to give it a little protection, and
believe Dovecot's IMAP proxy might be appropriate.
Does anybody have a *really simple* config that would allow IMAP
pass-through to a single Exchange server?
The examples I've seen all assume some sort of load balancing, which
isn't an

shorewall6: IP fragementation getting blocked?
Hey,
I have a setup that has one machine communicating to a server using UDP
over IPv6. For specifics, it is using collectd with a boosted
MaxPacketSize in the network config.
What this means is there is some IP fragmentation happening, and that
is getting REJECTed. My policy is to REJECT, and I have an ALLOW for the
particular communication I want. What I''m getting in my logs is

VT-d "partial" success - passing DVB-S tuner to Windows DomU (based off previous thread of similar name!)
Hi All,
So I''ve got a DVB-S PCI Express card ($30 USD Twinhan AD-SE200 off
eBay) that''s being passed via VT-d/pciback in Xen 3.2.1 under CentOS
5.2 to a Windows XP SP3 which works! ... except for one small issue...
Motherboard is an Intel DQ35JO that much people has had success with
and an Intel E8400 CPU.
The issue is that when dealing with FTA MPEG-2 transport streams (DVB-S

Size of Mailbox affecting the sending of mail?
Hi,
I didn't know where to post this one so I'll start off with you guys and
then try Postfix if I'm barking up the wrong tree!
Having set up my mail server (Dovecot/Postfix), users are experiencing
long delays (a couple of minutes) when sending mail from mail client
such as Thunderbird - this increases with attachments. Having had a
brief discussion with someone, they mentioned

Can't delete certain messages
Running Dovecot version 1.0.10 on Ubuntu Server 8.04 amd64 (ext3).
Some users have emails that will not go away. They delete them and the
message is moved to the trash folder only to reappear when the mailbox
is refreshed. Moving the message manually to another folder has the
same effect. We are running Thunderbird as our email client, though I
have tried using other clients to remove the

ex-Gaussian survival distribution
Dear R-Helpers,
I am hoping to perform survival analyses using the "ex-Gaussian"
distribution.
I understand that the ex-Gaussian is a convolution of exponential and
Gaussian
distributions for survival data.
I checked the "survreg.distributions" help and saw that it is possible to
mix
pre-defined distributions. Am I correct to think that the following code

Would attempting plaintext auth repeatably cause a DOS and server to crash?
Hey All,
I'm just wondering whether this is what caused my server to crash.
Started last night in NZ land.

disallowed plaintext auth): user=<>, rip=attackerip, lip=10.0.0.3,

Arbitrary limit on length of email address?
I'm trying to get emailing of voicemail messages to work and by and
large it does...
However one email address is quite long in comparison to others I am
testing and it fails to get delivered.
For example - this one works and gets delivered:
[Nov 5 18:35:14] DEBUG[2509]: app_voicemail.c:1957 sendmail: Sent mail
to ****.****@***.*****.com with command '/usr/sbin/sendmail -t'

Gnu sieve vs Dovecot sieve-filter - sieve-filter extremely slow at lda (writing emails to local mbox files)
(I did subscribe to this mailing list, albeit with zen at
freedbms.net, so either way I'm getting all your emails - thank you
-so- much for replying...)
MUA is mutt, reading email in a terminal (sorry, forgot to mention this before).
For many years now my email folder (mbox files) collection has grown
to many GiB, mostly mailing lists.
If I am to change email storage format, it should be

A Struct inside of a Struct
Hi...
I really need some help on something I am working on... I am trying to
create an XML-RPC webservice that sends the following as a response...
As you can see it looks like I can use a Struct with a boolean: member
but I don''t seem to be able to have another Struct as a member? Am I
barking up the wrong tree trying to do it this way? Should I try
something else?
I would really

Qpopper migration?
Hello,
As this is my first post to the list, first and foremost I'd like to
thank Timo for writing great software; we've successfully moved to
Dovecot for over 10,000 users from UW-IMAP and get great performance.
On our overloaded staff POP3/IMAP server, we are looking at replacing
qpopper+uw-imapd with dovecot, as an interim before moving them to the
main Unix mailstore. The system is

Cox regression and p-values
Hello,
I might be barking up the wrong tree here, but I want to make sure I
have a full understanding of this. What I would like to know is what
tests are performed to give the p-values for each variable in the table
that is the result of coxph regression when the variables are
categorical only.
More specifically, when expected counts are less than 5 is the Fisher's
exact test used instead

CDR MYSQL missing field data
Hello,
I have Asterisk-1.8.3.2, dahdi-linux-complete-2.4.1+2.4.1, and
libpri-1.4.11.5 installed and running on a Ubuntu 10.04 server all built
from source.
Everything is working nicely except one small issue.
The CDR records are stored in the CSV file correctly and complete.
The MySQL storage is working as it should and is automatically updating
all the fields except the CLID field.
I have

Cisco 79xx Ringtones
Hi,
I'm after two very specific ringtones for the 79xx's...
A dog barking, and a horse either galloping or neighing.
I've tried making the sounds, but for some bizarre reason they're not
working. I used to make quite a few ringtones for the 79xx's, but I
seem to have forgotten how to do it! And to top things off, I can't
even find the documentation on Cisco's site

sweave tables as images?
Hello folks,
I've been on a journey trying to figure out how to manage documents that
are amenable to sharing and editing, but that contain dynamic content
generated by R. I've come to the following solution: I use Sweave to
generate labeled png & pdf figures, and I "Insert & Link" those figures
as "Pictures" in a Word 2010 doc. Thus, when data or code

Nuvox PRI - CCITT (ITU??) vs. ANSI
All,
Having problems terminating to a Nuvox PRI, the tech at Nuvox is
saying Asterisk is transmitting in CCITT (aka ITU?) when they're
expecting (and will only accept) ANSI. The question is, is there a
simple way to change this or am I stuck with rewriting code? I googled
and checked the mailing list and found nothing, I could be barking up
the wrong tree I guess. PRI is not my forte.

Sieve also filter outgoing messages
Greetings,
A probably simple question and answer: can a sieve script be executed on
outgoing messages? I already use deliver on postfix, perhaps the sieve
script could be executed when saving to the Sent folder?
Regards,
