Fwd: MS asks for feedback on standards support in Outlook/Exchange
Someone should at least mention that they should support the real SPECIAL-USE instead of just Gmail-specific XLIST.. Thunderbird supports SPECIAL-USE (Merry x-mas!)
I've waited about two years to write this mail... :) As of Dezember, 24th Mozilla Thunderbird can handle SPECIAL-USE. The patch, which adds the required functionality, has passed review and TBs nightly build was successful. The next official Thunderbird release (version 38, release date 2015-05-19) will very likely ship SPECIAL-USE included. \o/ SPECIAL USE is an IMAP extension. It means

IMAP Proxying to an Exchange Server
We're proxying IMAP to an Exchange server. Ms Exchange vs dovecot
Hi, sorry for top post but short answer is ,there is no exchange without outlook, that is what makes exchange a good "groupware solution", on windows only. So compare it to dovecot makes only small sense..... Am 12.05.20 um 13:24 schrieb Michael Hirmke: > Hi Marc, > > >> How did you decide for the Baikal? RFE: IMAP LIST Extension for Special-Use Mailboxes
Timo, would you consider adding support for "IMAP LIST Extension for Special-Use Mailboxes" <http://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc6154.txt> any time near in the future? I would really love to get rid of all those folders created by all those different mail clients just because they can't agree to use the same folder for special purpose. Obviously clients need to support it too.

Properly "locking" a useraccount (on a proxy)
I'm preparing a migration of several mailboxes to another machine. The different useraccounts are distributed to different backend machines by means of a dovecot LMTP/IMAP/POP proxy. Proxying is working really well (now that the kernel does as it should). But how can I "lock" a user during migration? The plan is: ============ * lock the user * kick the user (doveadm kick) *
