similar to: usb mouse dies centos 5

I have a box that ran perfectly under 4.4. gigabyte motherboard, AM2 4200+ systems. 1 GIG RAM. I installed Centos 5 on the same box. I now see the log entries below and my USB mouse stops working. I get the following on an AM2 AMD5000+, nvidia gigabyte motherboard. Irq 169 is the USB. Anyone know why this is happening? If I install Centos 4.5 I do not get this. Below is a kernel dump that I just got. This is a fresh new install of centos 5.1 on NVIDIA gigabyte MB-GA-M61P-S3. nothing extra has been added. I have not tried the irqpoll but I am surprised to get this. Also the machine keeps running just hod this show on the console... Any ideas???
