CentOS 7 : keyboard shortcut for mouse gesture?
Hi, I have a CentOS 7 (GNOME) desktop installed as a VirtualBox guest on my Slackware64 14.1 workstation, to fiddle with it. Guest Additions are installed and configured OK, and 3D acceleration is working too. In its default configuration, the GNOME desktop under CentOS shows an "expos?" (I don't know how you call this), a list of all open windows, when you move the mouse cursor to

Shortcut key to get to beginniing of line in R?
This is a generalize question: basically, say you are typing a long line of command in R console, and then you realize you forgot to add something in the beginning, is there a way to get to the beginning of the line without pressing the "left" key on the keyboard and waiting for the cursor to get to the beginning, or using the mouse? I'm using windows version of R. Thanks! -- View

xemacs and ess: keyboard shortcut for sending line to R
running R 2.9.1 on Windows XP. Formerly used Tinn-R but it has been acting strangely lately and I haven't been able to fix it, so I am trying to learn ESS. I have Xemacs 21.4.19. I have ESS configured, I think, as per John Fox: An Introduction to ESS + XEmacs for Windows Users of R John Fox McMaster University Revised: 5 February 2006

rgl keyboard shortcut for translation on Mac?
Hello Everyone. I?m on a Mac, using rgl. Thanks to all the developers and maintainers on it! If I drag the mouse, I can rotate the view, if I hold down the option key or the ctrl key and drag, I get scaling (though at times I seem to alter the perspective?). Adding the shift key doesn't seem to modify anything. So, what I can't find is a key combination that translates the object.

ZBrush 3 Shortcut (ctrl, alt, etc) Issue - sticky keys?
Hi, I was able to get ZBrush 3 running (full version, 7 day grace mode) but none of the ctrl/alt/shift combinations are working like they should. For example, you should be able to hold Control and drag to draw out a mask, and when you press Control, the cursor turns yellow (as it should to denote the mask function) and it looks like it's going to work, but then acts like a normal mouse

Shortcut to run script
Hi Everybody! I have a simple question: I would like to know the keyboard shortcut to run a script in R ("Run all"). I already know the CTRL+R but it doesn't run the whole script at once. I would like to avoid CTRL+A and then CTRL+R. Is it possible? If yes, how? As is probably now clear, I'm a Windows user, with R 2.10. I will also use it soon under MacOS X 10.6. So I'm

Menu Bar KeyBoard Shortcuts.
Hello, I''m trying to use a wxMenuBar from XRC built with DialogBlocks on Windows. My first example had the menu being called from the Frame because I couldn''t figure out how to call the menu from my XRC. Shortcuts worked nicely. Example 1: menu.append(Wx::ID_EXIT, "E&xit\tAlt-X", "Quit this program") tool.append(Wx::ID_PHOTO, "&MS Picture

Email client shortcut
Under SL 4.x GNOME, when I assigned a button shortcut for Email (the "Mail" button of my Microsoft Internet Keyboard), the default email client (thunderbird) was launched. Under CentOS 5.0, Thunderbird is launched as "thunderbird -compose %s" (defined in GNOME "Preferred applications"). This has as an effect when I press the email shortcut a compose new message

Unable to map more than 4 workspaces to keyboard shortcuts on C7.
Hi, I have a new install of c7 with the gnome desktop. I run it with 12 workspaces. Normally I create the shortcuts so that ctrl+f1 maps to workspace 1 ctrl+f2 maps to f2, etc. When I goto applications -> settings -> keyboard -> shortcuts -> navigation, I only have the ability to define "Switch to workspace" 1 through 4. There does not appear to be a way to map keyboard

Problem setting keyboard shortcuts for more than 4 workspaces.
Hi, Does anyone know how to set keyboard shortcuts for more than 4 workspaces? If I goto settings -> devices -> keyboard I see "Switch to workspace {1-4}" I have virtual workspaces configured for 12. I would like to set keyboard shortcuts for all 12 workspaces. Google shows numerous solutions for ubuntu but I cannot get any of them to work on Centos 7 with gnome 3. Regards, --

New kernel and keyboard shortcuts
Has anyone else noticed or had a problem with keyboard shortcuts not working properly after the last kernel update? I'm finding on my 64-bit home system that even <alt><f4> no longer works in my terminal windows, and none of the normal keyboard shortcuts in OOo work properly either. Just curious if it's just me.... mhr -------------- next part -------------- An HTML

Thai keyboard input does not work
Hello *, I'm currently migrating a friend to Kubuntu 7.10. He's forced to use a service which works with IE only (no other browser can display their website). Fortunately, IE6 works with Wine (I used ies4linux 2.99.0 (http://www.tatanka.com.br/ies4linux) to set it up), but unfortunately only with the English keyboard layout: When we switch to Thai (KDE shortcut Ctrl-Alt-K), the focused

Fix for win32-shortcut
Hi all, I''ve narrowed down one more problem for cygwin/mingw. For win32-shortcut, it appears that you need to add "-luuid" to $LIBS. Once Takaaki tried that, it worked. How does this look for the extconf.rb for win32-shortcut? # extconf.rb require "mkmf" require "ftools" if RUBY_PLATFORM =~ /cygwin|mingw/i CONFIG["CC"] = "g++"

Problem with shortcut
Ive made a shortcut to an EXE which relies on another EXE (both exe's are in the same folder). If the shortcut is placed on the desktop, it will not work and report something about EXE not found. If i run the shortcut from within the directory which contains both EXE's, it will work. How do i get the shortcut to work? I think it had something to do with the equivalent of window's

Help creating a shortcut in wine
Can anyone help me with how to create a windows shortcut in wine? I want to create windows shortcuts on a Linux box that windows clients can then access. I'm trying to use wine to allow me to create the shortcut on the Linux box. I'm using the wine-0.9.31 version of wine on Fedora Core 5. I've tried two approaches, both fail. I've tried using an autohotkey script. This script runs

win32-shortcut problems
Hi all, I''ve started porting the Win32::Shortcut Perl module over to Ruby. I''ve done some initial work and committed it to CVS (look under win32utils - I goofed and made a toplevel dir as well - it''s empty). Anyway, everything compiles fine, but when I do "s = Shortcut.new" I get a weird error: test.rb:11:in `initialize'': undefined method
