What is the reccomended minimum rate for leaf htb class for accurate operation?

I have disabled HYSTERESIS also (by setting it to 0). I have Intel Celeron 1.8Mhz (TSC supported I think). ******** My script ****** tc qdisc add dev eth0 root handle 1: htb default 22 r2q 10 # Class corresponding interface

/sbin/tc does not know about HTB
This is my first post to the list so forgive me if this information is anywhere else. I''ve been using traffic shaping (cbq) for a while and i''d like to give htb a shot. I''m running debian woody (stable) with 2.4.24 with htb enabled. The problem is tc does not know about htb: # tc qdisc add dev eth2 root handle 1: htb RTNETLINK answers: Invalid argument It seems that

tc and HTB
Hi, I have a Debian that is connected to Internet in eth0, and to a LAN in eth1. I wanted to control traffic with HTB, dividing it depending on what kind of traffic is (Mail, Application Server and others). Would it be good to use HTB qdisc in eth0 egress to control outgoing traffic and HTB qdisc in eth1 egress to control incoming traffic? Or the only way to control incoming traffic is with eth0

Transfer rate above the desired (tc+htb)
Hi folks. I started to play with tc+htb last week, and I must confess that this thing is really driving me nuts. All we want to do is control bw, with no borrowing. In order to get the feeling on this subject, I have setup the following test bed. ---A---B---C--- On B: eth0 connecting A and eth1 connecting C. The script. tc qdisc del dev eth0 root tc qdisc add dev eth0 root handle 1: htb

Hello I am trying to attach pfifo_fast to af leaf htb class. But tc segmenetation faults. If I try the failing command throug strace, it shows me that the last thing tc tries to do just before the segmentation fault, is to try to open a file called "/usr/lib/tc/q_pfifo_fast.so". Of course i have tried to find worthfull information around the Internet, but haven''t found

tc htb stats
I have an htb qdisc setup and it is shaping my traffic wonderfully but I''ve just recently started taking a look at the output from the command tc -s class ls dev eth? Looking at the "rate" line I thought to myself..."cool I can use this to graph throughput avg.es without having to worry about the "Sent bytes" rolling over or being lost when the htb qdisc is
