RadRails vs. Textmate
Is there anyone out there can give me a comparison between RadRails/ Aptana and Textmate? I have been using skEdit for all of my general coding stuff, but I am now looking into getting a new editor for my Ruby/Rails work. I know that most Mac users swear by Textmate, but I would really like to hear some comparisons between RadRails, Textmate, and even skEdit as well. What your thoughts and

Controller to View and Back Again (TextMate shortcut)
One of the most inconvenient things about the Rails directory structure is the relative distance between the controller and its corresponding view files. While it?s organizationally sound, it?s often a pain to go hunting for a view (especially in a complicated application that has modules and modules within modules). I discovered a fantastic little key-combo within TextMate the other

IDE recommendations?
I was wondering if there are any IDEs out there that has autocomplete features for win32. It would be perfect if it could do something akin to what DHH is doing on the screencast hosted on the rails website. http://media.rubyonrails.org/video/rails_take2_with_sound.mov Cheers -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

Just a quick question, if I were tired of typing ruby into a terminal editor, say I wanted, oh, a scroll bar, mouse support, and maybe syntax highlighting? Anyone know os a good Ruby/Rails editor or IDE, one that runs on OS X, possibly in Java? -Josh ----------- Due to the recent increase in spam and falsely sent email, I now PGP Sign all of my outgoing mail to prove my identity. What do you think about commercial applications for Rails?
Hello all, I''m a RoR fan. I''ve read some RoR books, and I''m starting to use RoR for commercial proyects. As I use RoR more and more, I think about inexistent tools that would be great to have when developing applications in RoR. For example: an IDE with more features than RadRails. So then I think "hey! you could produce one of these tools". Some of these

Possible to implement Textmate key shortcuts in RadRails?
The Rails demo videos is a great showoff on how productive Textmate editor is. The 15 minute build-a-blog example should be twice as long if there had been no keyboard shortcuts in Textmate. Unfortunately, I use windows and thus RadRails. Does anyone know how to implement the same keyboard shortcut into RadRails? Sebastian Friedrich made an overview of the keyboard shortcuts:

Second, I''ve created a WebBrick server, but it doesn''t respond when I try to start it from withing RadRails. There''s no error shown.

[ADV] James Edward Gray's TEXTMATE book now in beta
Folks: Sorry for the commercial, but I''m excited about this one. I''ve been using TextMate for most of my work for a year now---if you''re on a Mac, it really is the best tool for writing Rails code. So when James Edward Gray II offered to write a book on TextMate, I jumped at it. James helps maintain the Ruby support in TextMate, and this knowledge comes
